"Excellent service"
Couldn't be more pleased with the service from Harry Clarke & sons. I had a problem with my shower. They came the next day and fitted a new one within a week at a very reasonable price. Prompt service, arrived when they said they would and Des was great. Will definitely use them again and recommend them.

Unreliable and unprofessional.
Failed to attend and repair leak as promised despite knowing water turned off. Seems operative having been delayed on morning job didn't fancy starting another at 4.00pm on a Friday so simply posted card saying "sorry we missed you". Four people waiting in house all day but none heard bell or knock. Not good enough.

Called Henry Clarke Ltd to book a service for a boiler and they fit me in a few days later. I believe Harry French was the engineer who attended. Thorough service and replaced a part for me same day. Polite, professional and highly recommend.

"Issues resolved eventually"
Disappointed and left with a boiler that doesn't give a warm shower. They suggested a new heat exchanger would definitely fix our boiler. Upon installation the engineer admitted it in fact hadn't and suggested we wait until the new year to see if it did improve. It didn't - we messaged them after the new year and got no reply . Called 2 weeks later and was told they would look into a solution or some kind of fair resolution and call back in a day or two. That was almost 3 weeks ago. I get things are busy right now but we want our boiler fixed, Harry Clarke and Sons have said they don't know how to do it economically and the suggested fix didn't work. We don't want to proceed with another company without this being tied up. This is the second time we have been disappointed by Harry Clarke and Sons, the first time there was a fair agreement between ourselves and we have them the benefit of the doubt, but this time we have just been left in the cold - literally in the shower sense!
Edit: since the review above we did get in contact again with Harry Clarke and Sons (went in person to their office) and there seemed there had been some miscommunication. The situation was resolved to our satisfaction (kind of anyway) so yeah best get in touch with them if you are in trouble.

"Came up trumps"
I needed a couple of small jobs doing but they were important to me. Thankfully Harry Clarke came up trumps. Promt, tidy and friendly, would strongly recommend.

"Poor service"
Poor service. Booked a service of boiler and gas fire. Boiler was condemned. Asked engineer to rectify asap and was promised that he would. Still waiting three weeks later with no communication despite leaving two telephone messages. Checked the engineer with Gas Safe and transpires he is not even registered to the company despite them sending him out.

"New oil tank"
New oil tank. Three companies visited: Harry Clarke had much the best plan (and was the only one to send us a written quote). Very pleased w the tank that they found for us: site is difficult access so hard to find a suitable tank. Prompt and tidy installation, and prompt re-visit to complete job after oil delivered.

"Leaking heating system"
When we turned our heating on for the winter, it was loosing all it's water and pressure, stopping working after an hour. The engineer, Mick, who came out from Harry Clarke's was really thorough at checking everything, and explaining what he was doing and why, and clarifying for us which pipes went where and could be isolated, as we weren't sure. He identified the leak was somewhere under a section of the ground floor, and recommended we get in a specialist leak detection company that uses gas tracing - the alternative being to start guessing where the pipes may be and digging up the floor in different rooms. He made sure we knew what service we were looking for, and was absolutely right - the gas detection identified a split pipe, in an area we'd never have guessed would be an issue, and just one small hole to repair it.
We did have to wait a couple of days for the engineer to come out, but that's to be expected in a rural part of the Dales at a busy time for heating engineers. The team at Harry Clark put us in touch with the engineer so he could see how urgent out job was compared to others, and check there wasn't anything basic we'd missed and could do ourselves, and fitted us in as soon as he could. We were really happy with this, it meant we knew what was going on and confident someone would be coming out to help us.

Very happy with the service provided by Harry Clarke & Son. The young man who fitted our radiators worked hard all day, was very polite and considerate and certainly gave a first class service
