Most awful experience I’ve ever had with a garage, awful communication and not good quality cars!

I bought my car 7months ago and had 2 sensors “fixed” with the warranty only to break down on the A1 and the ECU to be the real problem. I tried to email and call slaters to report my issue and radio silence from their end. Terrible customer service from their servicing team!

Safe to say I bought a new car from a more trustworthy seller and got rid of the problem riddled car salters sold me.

Initial contact via James was excellent but car was mis-sold with excess mileage and warning lights on display.
Followed by a devious and deceitful attempt to pass off a warranty without mentioning it was intended as compensation for their failures. I do not trust this company and would advise others to be very very cautious.

John took care of everything, going through all the offers and details, and kept in communication while the car was getting ready. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

"No Welding Services As Claimed?"

I visited Slaters Motor Group to ask about having some chassis welding repairs carried out on my car.

The members of staff I spoke to were rather offhandish, and after being redirected through three different departments at three separate locations respectively, I finally arrived at the "correct" department only to be told that they "do not do that kind of work" and was promptly dismissed.
Yet, the company website clearly states that; "If you need vehicle welding in Sunderland, then look no further than Slaters Motor Group. We offer a competitively priced vehicle welding service including panel repairs and chassis welding, all carried out to the highest standards by our team of experienced technicians."

I am not sure what to make of my experience with this company, but let it suffice to say that I do not think I will be going back there again.

Car cowboys of Sunderland take your money else where and buy from a decent garage.. as stated from previous responses no reply back from these.. bent mot doesn’t do jobs when supposed to do and tells you lies.. don’t be fooled by rac logo that’s just a smoke screen..they use to get people to buy from them ..

Used them twice and both times they fixed the car (Chevrolet captiva) quick and at better price than quoted by other garages. A good, trustworthy garage which is hard to find these days. Definitely recommend
