The Intern Group

"One of the best experiences of my life…"
One of the best experiences of my life - 100% recommend!
I absolutely LOVED The Intern Group! I was part of their Madrid 2017 summer program and I could not have asked for a better internship program. It was a smooth process from start to finish. Lalita and her team truly went above and beyond working hard to help interns feel welcome and have the best experience possible! They even had several wonderful events and activities scheduled which really help you get immersed in the culture and make you feel part of the community. I honestly have nothing but great things to say. I loved my apartment, flat mates, and internship job and still keep in contact with several of the interns today. The city is super safe, has great food and easy, well organized metro. By the end of the summer, Madrid truly became a second home for me - I even tried to move there! I loved it so much I went back to visit 2 years in a row afterwards and brought my entire family!
After 3 years I still look back and it is still a major highlight. It added so much value not only to my personal life but to my career as well.
Word of advise to any interns: 1) Enjoy every bit of it - not everyone gets the opportunity to do an international internship; 2) Take advantage of the events - (these are actually great at getting you immersed and are expensive if you try to get on you’re own); 3) Network - your fellow interns may become life long friends or help you get connected later on. 4) Don’t worry about packing everything - it’s easier to buy things over their and they have great summer sales. Food and clothing are relatively cheap out there (so you might want to buy an extra luggage on your way back); 5) Explore - the city has a lot to offer (you may even want to do a free walking tour, it helps make the city come to life).
All in all I 100% recommend!

The intern group provided me with an amazing experience. During my 6 month time in London, not only did I gain valuable work experience, but I also had the privilege of experiencing London on a social level as well. I have made friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

"Best decision, amazing experience!"
Interning in Madrid has been a life changing experience. I interned in a marketing agency where I learned and developed a wide range of skills in the area of advertising and social media marketing. Comparing my Internship with some friends that got Internships in other programs or from their schools, this was by far the best. I had the opportunity to work with the CEO of the company and get a lot of mentoring from him. He empowered me to fulfill my potential.
The experience was really valuable and I honestly believe it will help in my future career.
The Intern Group staff were really helpful and they cared about all details to make the experience not just about working, but also making new friends and getting to know a wonderful city.
I 100% recommend this program to anyone and I'll always love Madrid.

"My internship through the Intern Group"
I did an internship through the Intern Group in Madrid during the summer of 2018 and I had a blast!
Not only did I gain professional experience that has been key to my career path and professional growth thus far, but I was also able to make great friends and get to know an amazing city as is Madrid.
However, being 100% honest I do believe that this program has a lot to do with luck and while my own experience is one of the best, some of my friends in the program had numerous problems with their own internships and in terms of housing. There were also misunderstandings with the people representing the Intern Group at times, which made the experience a sour one for some of the people I knew in the program. I'm sure that since then the Intern Group has sought to better their services, but still this is something I would keep in mind.
All in all though, I know for a fact that international experience is key in today's professional world because it certainly has helped me. If you have the chance to do an internship abroad you totally should.
My time in Madrid is a cherished time for multiple reasons and I always refer back to it in interviews and recommend doing something of the like to everyone I know.
Currently, I am doing a master's degree in Paris and completing an internship with the United Nations in Geneva and this is, in big part, thanks to the experience I was able to gain through my internship in Madrid.

"My internship in Madrid"
I did an internship in Madrid in 2018 and it was definitely one of the best experiences of my life.
The Intern Group helped me feel home from the very first day and they were always there to support me.
I really appreciated their commitment to help all the intern build good relationships.
All the experiences were engaging and well organized.
Staying in a Madrid was undoubtedly one of the best experiences of my life and I would not hesitate to recommend this experience to anyone who wish to live the time of their life!

"If you're on the fence, do it. It is worth!"
The Intern Group is an organization staffed by individuals who actually care about your professional and personal life | ambitions | and goals.
I completed a Marketing Internship for a Global Consulting Company in Madrid, Spain. I can confidently say, it was a great choice. My time working for the company was well spent. It involved the a multitude of aspects ranging from the adoption of a start-up culture, actual like-minded individuals ready to commit to their goal of having their company succeed and also, the comfort of having other interns in various other companies around you. You are never alone.
Now, of course, this Internship is a commitment to yourself, the organization and the Company you would potentially work for. As any commitment, it would involve your time, focus and energy.
Some of these negative reviews I have read about this company are a result of individuals looking to party and benefit from an easy boost to their Resume/CV. But that is a fraction of a percentage that occurs.
The investment of 3 months I underwent with my internship brought me newfound skills and experience I would not have otherwise received if it wasn't for the Intern Group.
Additionally, they offer workshops on the weekends or evenings to help couple your experience on the program. They even help plan excursions to nearby destinations, restaurants and experiences that are well worthwhile.
For any curious individuals out there, I am about to begin my Second Masters' Degree and I would not be where I am today without this Organization. You really do get, what you put it. So why not invest in your future?

"My time at the intern group is…"
My time at the intern group is definitely one I will never forget. The independence, the friends, the personal growth, all of them where amazing attributes which I always use to describe my experience working in Madrid. Now that I’m back home I recommend it everywhere people ask and I still keep in touch with the people I made a real connection with. I always felt like I had someone to reach out to in case I felt uncomfortable and all my questions where quickly answered by someone from the Madrid team. Interning abroad is not only a way to build curriculum but also character, I Only have positive things to say about the intern group!

"Chile Remote"
I had the opportunity to participate in a remote internship that was stationed in Chile. I was able to harness new skills, such as writing proposals and applying for grants, which I had never done before. It was a fulfilling experience even though I was unable to be in Chile for the internship. However, I have made plans with my host for me to eventually travel to Chile and continue working/learning about the work I started this summer. Hopefully, I will be able to experience that, but none of it would have been possible without The Intern Group.

"Wonderful Time in Dublin and Virtually"
This February, I went to Dublin for a marketing internship at a nonprofit through the Intern Group in order to receive academic credit at my university. John, Paul, and Chelsea at TIG, all of the other interns, as well as everyone I worked with at my internship were absolutely wonderful and made my experience there better than I ever could have imagined. From the start, TIG was in touch with me to help organize all my travel prep, and once I arrived in Dublin all of the planned events made me feel right at home. I had such a great time becoming close friends with all of the other interns from around the world as we all enjoyed Irish culture. I learned such a huge amount at my internship and had great mentors and felt I grew professionally and personally.
Unfortunately, my time there was cut short by a few weeks, and I was called home due to the COVID outbreak. The Intern Group reached out to me shortly after to see if I would be interested in continuing with them by starting at their newly launched Virtual Internship program. Immediately, I received an interview with a startup company that I would end up working for this summer. This remote e-commerce internship went above and beyond all expectations as well. Again I was in touch with mentors who shared a lot about the company and were willing to give me career advice and encouragement. This internship taught me so much, and I enjoyed every single day working for them. I was so sad that it ended, and am so glad I had that experience, as it showed me an entirely new side to international business that I hadn't known about before. This has absolutely shaped my career and life goals for what I would like to do next year when I graduate from college.
Overall, I can't recommend the Dublin and virtual programs enough. All of the experiences you have will teach you so much, and the people you meet will help you make memories to last a lifetime.
