"Excellent Service"
I booked a car for 3 days with OLA before leaving the UK. The booking process was simple, Ameer who dropped the car to our hotel was on time (early in fact) and very polite. The car was clean, exactly as ordered, which in my experience often isn't the case with the bigger chain companies. It was very easy to drive & in good condition with new tyres and half a tank of petrol, which despite two days out we only managed to use less than £5 of. The car was collected again & our security deposit promptly returned. I would definitely use OLA again in Mauritius.

"Controversial"
My experience with OLA Mauritius contains two stories: 2014 and 2016 with some controversy between them. So you can read both stories carefully and make your own conclusions.
in 2014:
Had a great experience. OLA people were really friendly and on time to deliver and collect the car. The car itself was a fresh Nissan Micra in great condition. I Was really pleased with my experience and could recommend OLA to anyone.
in 2016:
The rates were still competitive compared to chains and I booked Nissan Micra again. But some other things deteriorated drastically. First of all, OLA has no office at the airport, which means you have to agree how you collect the car in advance. In my case the guy who delivered the car was 40 minutes late. I tried to find him by calling their office but the lady there could barely speak English and lied to me telling that the guy was already at the airport.
When he finally arrived, it turned that instead of Nissan Micra they brought me Perodua Myvi telling it's similar. How was the car? It had seen life. A lot of it. It was dirty as a hell on inside and falling apart on the outside. Driving it was a punishment so terribly bad and dull it was. Also it was, I guess, quite a dangerous experience (google for Perodua's reviews and safety records). My overall impression was that this car would be much cheaper to buy and then throw away than to rent.
Returning the car was a hassle again, similar to collecting. I could not find the agent where agreed and had to phone the office again. The agent had no badge or any other piece of OLA branding on them and looked like if he was hiding from someone. May be they are not allowed to operate at the airport – I don't know.
Also, when returning the car, I could see him giving another Perodua to another customer. So I would strongly doubt that better cars advertised on OLA's website even exist in 2016.
Conclusion? Never ever agree for Perodua. Act at your own risk as their service may be inconsistent from year to year or from customer to customer.

"Avoid"
There's no desk for Ola at the airport and they failed to advise us of this before hand. Meaning we went searching around the airport with no result. Turns out they meet you at the exit, only 15 minutes or so after the time you said you would arrive with no notice they would be late or apology. Forget these guys and go for anyone else.

"Bad experience"
Website said full tank petrol and free GPS - both not there when car is collected. Only minimal fuel left and said no GPS required in Mauritius, well don't advertise it if so! Car not in good condition, on 2nd day, the car won't start and the 'service' sign came up on the dashboard. Waited 3 hours for someone to come to our hotel who teaches us how to start an auto car, need to turn the ignition key and step on accelerator simultaneously. More to come, at departure, no one showed up to collect the car. We have to call and they said someone is coming. After 1.5hr waiting,was told no one is actually coming and we're asked to leave the car key in the car. Too much car drama for a holiday. Not recommended at all.

"Ola mauritius car hire"
The car was clean and I had no hassles.
GPS needs to be updated,provided me with a baby car seat which was great.
Drop off was convenient I was met at the airport right outside the entrance which meant a short walk with the luggage.Car was delivered to my resort.
Rate per day was cheaper than what resort quoted me for the same vehicle.

"GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE"
Our car arrived on time, clean & tidy (a Honda Jazz as booked), the rep was helpful with tips on where to visit. A free sat nav included. The car was collected with no problems other than the fact my husband left his new glasses in the car when it was returned. We returned to UK very very early the next day so contacted Salim by email and he has had them shipped back to us - what great customer service!!

"Efficient & Flexible"
I had initially booked a car via another company but something went wrong and i found myself without a car 2 days before my arrival on the island.
I called OLA for help and spoke to Salim the Manager.
Despite the peak season and most of their cars already booked out, Salim managed to sort something out for us. My emails and calls were quickly responded to, even at 11pm
I found Salim and his team very friendly, efficient and flexible.
The car was exactly what i needed and requested; clean and delivered right on time at the location I requested.
Happy to recommend OLA following my very good experience.

"Never use a company who lies about there products, and there service!"
Vi havde som en "familietur" regnet med at dette bilselskab var det bedste til pengene, ifølge deres hjemmeside var alt inkluderet, indtil skaden var sket. Kort og godt, havde vi bestilt en mellemklasse bil, en mellemstor bil, men vi ender med en bil på størrelse med en Fiat Punto, vi kan dårlig nok sidde i bilen, og så med 4 styks bagage kan vi dårligt nok trække vejret inde i bilen.
Vi snakker om en bytter, men det kan først lade sig gøre senere på aften, og da vi er indlogeret ca. 60 km fra lufthavnen lover de at komme med en større bil senere på aften, det SKER ALDRIG! Vi ringer og ringer, de svære at komme i kontakt med, vores ferie er ødelagt da vi dårlig nok kan være i bilen, den kan ikke trække os rundt på de stejle, bølgede veje. Et pr dage efter kommer de, vi regner med en større bil, men vi får en magen til i en anden farve, og de kører straks derfra igen, uden nogen som helst reaktion, ligeglade, ingen service, rent og skær pengegriske!
Vi beholder den nye bil da vi ikke vil forblive sure, på et tidspunkt falder forskærmen af, da den har ramt en kant ved et uheld, i forvejen er bilen vi har modtaget sat sammen med en strap, da den tidligere har været udsat for en skade, samt er fordækket fladt, efter 1 dag, hvor vi dårlig nok har kørt i den.
Vi mødes med chefen et sted, og den unge mand som tog imod os i starten, de bedømmer skaden som slem, og vi er derfor ikke dækket af nogen som helst forsikring, som de ellers påstod på deres hjemmeside.
Vi skal betale straks, og de vil have at vi skal betale det højeste og dyreste beløb, fordi de mener at vi i Danmark kan få pengene igen af vores forsikring, og i det tilfælde vi ikke kunne, så ville vi få de resterende penge tilbage, men sådan er det desværre ikke, nu nægter de at svare på henvendelser fra os, og pengene ser vi nok ikke, men kampen opgiver vi ikke. Man skal ikke snyde os, og vi opfordre alle mennesker til at vælge et andet selskab, et dyrere et, hvor bilen er meget bedre, servicen i top, og et produkt der er i orden!
For jeres egen skyld, få ikke jeres ferie ødelagt, af et korrupt biludlejningsfirma!

Meget af vores ferie er blevet ødelagt pga dette biludlejningsfirma. Vi fik aldrig den bil vi havde bestilt eller noget der mindede om den. Men vi fik dog byttet bil til en anden ringere bil. Bilen var sat sammen med strips, den slugte benzinen hurtigt selvom det ikke er så stor en bil. Problemer med gearene, selvom den var automatisk. Solskærm fløj af mens vi kørte på motorvej. De kom aldrig, når man havde aftalt at de skulle komme og tilse bilen hvis der var problemer. Gammel gps som ikke er opdateret.Ja altså ikke andet end problemer. Så brug hellere jeres penge på et af de andre selskaber. Dette selskab holder ikke hvad de lover. Vi kom ud for et lille uheld hvor forskærmen fik en bule. Det dækkede deres forsikring åbenbart ikke selvom det står på deres hjemmeside. Vi skulle betale 500 euro for skaden, og fik lovet at vi ville få de 250 euro tilbage hvis vores forsikring ikke gik ind og dækkede det. Og ja vores forsikring dækkede ikke. Vi har prøvet at kontakte biludlejningsfirmaet på mail, Tlf, facebook intet hører vi fra dem. Brug hellere jeres penge på et af de kendte biludlejningsfirmaer. Bare et godt råd.
