14 months wasted after Ian Hass turned down my case.
Ian Hass of Ellis Hass & Co took on my case in a no win no fee agreement with ATE (After The Event) insurance.
I am an attorney for my mother who had suffered neglect in a care home by incompetent and abusive staff.
He was confident of success and we had a barrister confirm this in a call as well as well.

He never obtained a breech of duty report and should have done this at the start of the case but things between us then turned strange when he stopped contacting me and told me to stop calling him on his mobile when I had done nothing to justify why.

He then would not answer my calls and I had more of a relationship with his voicemail.

I raised a 1st complaint in October 2021 and his reaction was to turn down my legal representation as a response.

I then couldn’t get anyone else to represent me so he agreed to rerepresent me.
But things got worse and he gave confusing and conflicting legal advice regarding fees and the ATE insurance and never did obtain a breech of duty report.

We sent a settlement offer to the defendant and even though they were 4 months late to respond he never added any sense of urgent.

When they finally responded and denied all liability he went back to the barrister and even though they still gave the case a high chance of success they lowered the value of the case to below £5000 which coincidentally is below his threshold to proceed.

So he turned down our case after a highly stressful 14 months.
This has jeopardised our case and my mother has not had any justice for what she suffered.

Ian does not deserve the praise and respect he gets as he treated me with utter disrespect and seems to be untouchable and walks on water.
