"Alcove Bookcases the easy way"

Humphries Cabinetry installed alcove bookshelves. They were fast, efficient, friendly and tidy. Some difficulties did occur between the planning stage and the installation - so pay real attention to the designs when they come through, and don't assume that if you have books in situ that the design will necessarily take them into account. However, has to be said that the slight changes that had to be made on site were quickly resolved - a testimony to the skill and capability of the craftsmen employed.

Hired Humphries to put a cupboard and shelves into an alcove. Friendly team and quick to respond, and the carpentry seems to be a good standard. Overall finish is a bit underwhelming, although it looks good from a distance. Paint has marks showing through it, filler down the side of the cabinet has gaps in it, and there are rubber stays on three of the four places where the doors close which makes them a bit uneven. They were apologetic when I raised it but the follow-up visit didn’t fix the issues.

I contacted Humphries Cabinets as I needed a built in wardrobe for a flat in Stoke Newington. They responded to my enquiry quickly and were able to make a site visit shortly afterwards. The quote was reasonable and, although we had to wait a few weeks for the work to start, we were quickly booked into the system. In fact they were able to start a bit earlier and were very efficient once on site, finishing the construction in a couple of days. At all stages, from the initial consultation, to the design and build, they were a great team to work with. The finished cupboard was just what I wanted. Would definitely recommend.

The firm designed and fitted a bespoke bedroom unit which was a combination of wardrobe, desk and shelf space. A great finish and excellent use of the space in the room.

Customer service was fantastic and they spent a lot of time ensuring the details are right. They may not be the cheapest provider (not too sure how they compare with other firms) but you are getting your value for the money spent, and that's the important thing!

Zephyr Hunphries made some excellent fitted wardobes in the bedroom and cabinets in our kitchen-diner. We had a clear idea of what we wanted and he was able to make everything exactly to our specifications. He was very clear about the options and costs, with no hidden extras. Highly recommended.

I used Humphries Cabinetry for box shelves in two alcoves - I called them based on a flyer and was a bit nervous as it was not a company I’d been recommended or heard of before. But every step of the process was flawless - great to get the CAD drawings, and so happy with the shelving now installed. They look great and the company take real care to ensure you are happy with the end product. Would definitely recommend!

We came across hcabinets from a flyer through the door. We needed quite a complicated alcove unit - a tall cupboard to enclose our boiler, and then a single span of wide bookshelves on top of a low set of cupboards. The key thing for me was that we got to see the CAD models before the build went ahead, and we made quite a few small changes before we were happy. When it came to the build itself, it was a lot more work than I had expected really - 3 days of a cabinet maker, followed by 2 days of painting. The accuracy and finish is perfect - I can't fault it. Luckily we also thought carefully about the heights of all the shelves, so it looks great on Zoom calls during lockdown!
