I am using Darlows as a first time landlord, renting out my home, so no business scale.
I have so far enjoyed a pleasant experience and the staff at Albany Road have been professional in their approach. I am yet to discover how our collaboration is going to work out long term, and, if needed, navigate through landlord challenges together, however I am pleased about the marketing and beginning of tenancy.
There were only a few minor hiccups, such as information lost in communication and I sometimes got the impression that perhaps there is a great volume of work imposed upon a small workforce, but every issue was addressed promptly and professionally.
One positive point is that throughout the process I got to meet and speak to three of their team including the manager, which is pretty much the entire branch.

First weekend “open day” as requested by Diane who managed to sell the house practically to the first person who turned up. She is always there to answer any questions we have and was totally professional in her approach and more than knowledgeable in this sector. I had a home visit with Sam McAllister and straight from the off Sam was friendly and polite. I explained that there was some work being done inside the property which wasn’t a problem at all. Sam was really happy with the standard of work being done and has passed on his view that all work is of high standard! I would have no problem with Sam coming back at a later date to get some progress/updated photos when more work is complete.

We have found Darlows to be efficient and extremely helpful right from the initial visit. We have had good lettings advice and they have kept up communication between us and the tenant. We found Sam McAllister to be so polite and friendly when we had a query the other day, he promptly phoned and asked how everything was going. The company staff seem to communicate with each other very well and messages always get where they’re supposed to go.

Darlows is everything you hope to expect from an estate agent. From the beginning an efficient and prompt email to confirm the phone discussion followed up by a viewing where Lucy was incredibly informed and made the experience a delight. Lucy knew about the property, the area and offered excellent advice about the buying process. Although the viewing did not end in a sale we will definitely be using Darlows for future opportunities.
