Brutal Importing Fees

We recently bought the bundle and extra pillowcases to trial before buying for our boutique hotel in San Miguel de Allende. Assuming the shipment cost would cover the cost to get the bedding to its final destination. Sadly it was shipped via UPS and we were hit with $145 USD in importing duties. Didn't expect that as the site didn't mention this. We've reached out to BedFolk and they've offered to add this warning to their site but the only offer was to refuse the shipment or pay the fees. I think I take issue with their wording in the reply email

"We’re really sorry this was not clear when ordering and will be adding further information onto our website to warn our customers, that as with any international order, additional customs fees may be applied."

As if we should have known in advance. Didn't expect to pay importing duties that were more than the actual bedding. Appreciated the reply but was a bit of a let down. Hopefully the bedding is ok when it arrives.

This bedding is the best I have every brought particularly the luxe bedding! Just love it, yes more expensive than others but you get what you pay for, washes fab and great customer service just wish there was a few more colours to choose from!

Treat yourself to the BEST bed linen! I bought my set around 2 years ago and it is as good as new. I wash and dry it in a day so it has been on my bed constantly! You won’t regret it, honestly the best thing since sliced bread!
