"Stress-free experience from a wonderful team"

Being a foreign national and moving to a new country, I was very nervous about the house buying process in Denmark. My wife suggested we use Bomae after she had heard only good things from her friends.

I am so happy she did! Every step of the process was explained to us in simple english. Every pitfall and subtle nuance of the Danish system was highlighted. If we asked for their advice on an issue, they would happily give it and explain our options. They even managed to negotiate a huge price reduction on our final property!

I have bought and sold properties in the UK, and I would have to spend huge chunks of time deciphering complex legal talk, or identifying and negotiating solutions myself. Bomae took all of this on, and made the entire process a breeze!

My wife and I felt especially cared for by our agent, Kristina Austfjord, and our legal advisor, Emma Sterndorff. Their professionalism, diligence and warmth are a testamant to Bomae; and it's absolutely thanks to their efforts that my wife and I will be moving into our dream home shortly :)

I really cannot recommend Bomae enough. We will absolutely use them again in future, and will happily recommend them to anybody looking for help buying a property!

"Good service though sometimes needed a…"

Good service though sometimes needed a push.
In general this is a very good service, that helps throughout the process. If you are not well-experienced at apartment purchasing, I would highly recommend using Bomae's services.

The only downside was that sometimes I had to push to get information or to move stuff forward.
Obviously I wasn't the only customer, but would have been nice to have some indication that "you request was receive, we will contact you within X amount of time".

"Overpromised and underdelivered "

We used Bomae to purchase our first apartment in Denmark, and started working with them in Feb 2023. During their pitch, we were sold on their assistance with apartment search, financial advisory, communication with the bank, and negotiations of all terms and conditions for the apartment purchase. The service we ended up getting did not match what was advertised in the sales pitch.

1. Apartment search: we were the only ones looking and suggesting apartments, sending links to Bomae, to which they would reply whether it was “a good deal or not”. Still unsure what criteria was being used, but what we were told is that we would receive offers based on our requirements that would be deemed good deals by Bomae. This never happened, and we were the ones looking for the apartments.

2. Financial advice: Bomae was not able to clearly communicate or explain the financial costs of purchasing and owning an apartment, and we often had to research by ourselves and try to understand the process without their involvement. This was the part of the service we were needing the most guidance on, especially as expats.

3. Negotiations of apartment price: We had to offer more than the asking price for the apartment we ended up getting, so no real benefits from having Bomae there.

4. Lawyer fees: if you decide to use Bomae regardless, please use an external lawyer and not their own. Bomae was charging 12k for lawyer fees - for a service that you could get for 5-6k less. Sidenote: our external lawyer gave us way more advices for the apartment visits and eventual purchase.

5. Post apartment purchase support: Bomae mentioned they would be able to assist with questions regarding refinancing and mortgage discussions, but we have reached out to them after the apartment purchase with a question, and had no answer.

Overall, I would not recommend Bomae. The service is over advertised, and it does not meet the expectations or deliver what you would expect at this high cost.

Som førstegangskøbere brugte vi BOMAE, det har vi på ingen måde fortrudt og ville nok gøre igen. Gode, venlige og professionelle mennesker guidede os igennem handelen, byggesagkyndig og det juridiske. Det hele gik virkelig hurtigt, men vi blev hele tiden opdateret og var med i alle beslutninger. Selv på søndage. Det var dog ikke så billigt som vi havde håbet, men billigere end den stressterapeut vi skulle have brugt hvis vi selv skulle have stået for bare halvdelen selv. Kvalitet og professionalismen oversteg dog både forventning og pris. Vi har nu vores drømmehus og ingen stress.

Vi er så super taknemmelig for hvordan forløbet er gået(fløjet af sted) og vi er blevet behandlet som VIP, på første række❤️ ikke et øjeblik i tvivl om at det har været det helt rigtige for os… trods de er fagfolk så har de kunne formidle så vi ikke har følt os helt blæst over….

Skal du købe hus eller lejlighed? Så tøv ikke et sekund med at få hjælp fra Bomae - de er alle pengene værd!! Vi er førstegangskøbere, og Bomae har hjulpet os fra start til slut med både finansiel, bolig, og juridisk rådgivning, og vi var aldrig kommet i mål uden deres hjælp! Vi følte os trygge hele vejen igennem, de tog initiativ til møder i en travl hverdag, var på pletten både på mail og telefon, når vi havde brug for det, og stillede alt op i et “forbrugervenligt sprog”.. Da vi ville trække os i den første handel vi indgik, var der stor forståelse, accept og der var indgået en sikker handel, så vi nemt og bekvemt kunne trække os. Kort tid efter fandt vi det rette hus, og fik hjælp til at få det afslag, vi ønskede os. Den finansielle og juridiske rådgivning gav os overblik og tryghed, og vi slap for selv at bruge mængder af tid på alt muligt, vi ikke forstår. TAK til Bomae! Vi vil til hver en tid anbefale et samarbejde med dem! Og næste gang, vi skal købe hus eller lejlighed, bliver det helt sikkert også med Bomae ved vores side!
