"Winter Toubkal Feb 2024"
This was my first time with TBLC and it won’t be my last!
Jake and his team were great, full of encouragement up and down the mountain. We were looked after from start to finish, being cooked for three times a day was great!
I hadn’t really don’t anything like this before but I had a great time and met some really great people :)

"Winter Toubkal Feb 2024"
This was my second experience with TBLC and it didn't disappoint. My adventure didn't get off to the best start though, as I had arranged my own flight I spent two and a half hours sat in the heat outside of Marrakech Airport waiting for the bulk of the group to arrive (I waited 30 minutes for someone with the sign, and then told it wouldn't be long until the others joined). As a result, I missed out on sightseeing that afternoon which didn't get me off to the best start and I arrived stressed, thirsty, hungry and tired. I have been offered a refund for my transfer but that doesn't make up for the lost time in Marrakech that I was looking forward to.
Nonetheless, the rest of the trip was fantastic! The Riad we stayed in for Marrakech (Riad Omar) was ok, but expect budget. It would be lovely for there to be a slightly fancier accommodation option, but it is adventure travel. One benefit for us was that there was a Sahara group heading out the same time so there was a really lovely buzz and we got to chat to them about their experience too.
The local team were great, but the benefit of TBLC is the UK guides they use on many of their adventures. Jake is an asset to TBLC ensuring everything ran smoothly from the outset and he was fully present for the duration of the trip. He was always doing his best to ensure that the whole group were having a good time and was very reassuring when I had a couple of wobbles!
The Winter climb hopefully allows for snow and a big dump the week prior to our trip meant we were in crampons from the refuge up to the summit. Jake and the local guides were assessing everyone from the outset and adapted plans accordingly (e.g. changing lunch locations due to high winds, summiting a day early to spend less time at the refuge). We were taught mountain skills and any equipment could be easily rented. While the altitude of Toubkal isn't too bad, I would definitely say that it is a trickier climb than it seems on paper so do your research in advance. Also be aware that the refuge you will be sharing mixed and on double bed style bunk beds... we had 15 people in one room. This isn't a fault of TBLC, just a fact of climbing Toubkal itself that people should be aware of.
We did miss out on a second day in crampons but with a very good reason. TBLC ensured that we all were wearing helmets during the climb as it is steep, icy and we were using sharp equipment. On the evening post-summit a local climber had slipped close to the Refuge and had very badly injured his head. Jake was the first on scene and has a vast experience of mountain/expedition first aid. It was great to see how well trained the UK guides TBLC provide are to be able to deal with things like this over and above the call of duty. Essentially Jake (and a few of our first aid kits) saved a life that evening. It was reassuring to see we were in safe hands!
Food on the trek was great, although you may get bored of tagine after a while.
In terms of extensions, I didn't book any with TBLC however be mindful that their hot air balloon extension can be booked much cheaper locally. I spent the free day on a cycle tour in the mountains with Argan Extreme Sports (AXS) which was excellent. In the evening I did a food tour with Moroccan Food Adventures which was also great (although I did miss the final meal). What TBLC don't advise, and I've had on both my EBC and Toubkal trips is that on free days they organise a local guided tour. Again, another great example of little added extras for those who want to take advantage.
Overall, a fabulous trip to Morocco and I can't wait for Mera Peak in November.

"Just got back from the India Himalayan…"
Just got back from the India Himalayan adventure and what an adventure it was, by far the best holiday I’ve ever been on, it was an explosion of the senses, the guides were second to none and never once did I feel unsafe when we were out in the local towns or confused about the itinerary. Jake our bucket list just was excellent, professional and mature, always keeping us abreast of what we were to do and see. This was a really fantastic trip for me and I’m itching to get back to India when I can.

"Sahara Desert Trek"
My husband and I did the Sahara Desert Trek this past October and we had the most incredible time! It was such a special rewarding trek with no 2 days the same and we enjoyed every minute of our first experience of desert trekking!
Everything was so well organised, and seeing views we had dreamed about in person is something we will cherish forever! Everything about the trip was fantastic, and all the hard work was done for us which made for a relaxing bucketlist experience. We would absolutely use this company again and highly recommend them to anyone thinking about a special trip!

"Best of Thailand 2023"
Just back from The Best of Thailand, and my first trip with The Bucket List Company…. Just WOW!!! The whole trip exceeded my expectations…. temples snd street markets…. Elephant sanctuaries and scuba diving…. and so much more. Our UK guide, Jake was excellent. He immediately made everyone feel a part of the group, and he looked after us brilliantly throughout the whole trip right through to the last bag coming off the carousel on our arrival back at Gatwick.
This was our first trip, but definitely not our last with this fantastic company. I’m already lining up at least one more for 2024. Life is too short… book the trip. It will change your life!!

"Repeat Adventurer"
The Bucket list company are an amazing find for solo adventure’s,I’ve been on three trips so far and have just booked another, If you fancy climbing Kilimanjaro or trekking though the Andes mountains or visiting the Treasury at Petra have a look at the bucket list company I would highly recommend them,
The itinerary of all the trips has been well thought out from start to finish, The main thing that attracted me to use the bucket list company in the first place was having a uk guide go on the adventure with you..

"Don’t think, just book it, you won’t regret it"
Just got back from the Best of Nepal trip with TBLC and I am seriously depressed! This was a fantastic trip exploring what Nepal has to offer which I did not want to end so the post holiday blues are already set in!
From the chaos of Kathmandu with its numerous Stupa’s and temples to Pokhara with a more relaxed vibe and even paragliding, to the incredible scenery of the Annapurna mountain range and then the jungle and animals in Chitwan national park, this trip has a little bit of everything.
I do not think you will ever find people nicer than the Nepalese who cannot do enough to help and always with a smile on their face.
The guides were amazing, all transport was taken care, details were communicated in a timely manner, the food was fantastic and easily catered for a pescatarian, nothing was too much trouble. One huge bonus is that I have gained some amazing new friends from within the group.
Yes, I have already booked my 4th trip with TBLC and am looking at booking a 5th and 6th. Hence my logic, don’t think about it just book it, you won’t regret the decision.
