I've seen them doing similar with other customers too and it gives an overall impression of a friendly, small company that are attentive to their customers and to their online following.

The tape measure itself is both heavy and shiny; the two hallmarks of a quality product! It's reassuringly solid and you don't feel like you have to be too delicate with it. Even though it's a gift product, you should feel totally confident to fling this in the toolbox like any other tape measure.
