"The service was ver slow"
The service was ver slow. A birthday celebration. Very expensive. Not aware of a service charge. £5 for papodams per basket. Very disappointed as it was recommended by a friend.

"New favorite Indian"
I visited this restaurant with a friend on a cold December evening. Our table was pre booked and we were greeted very warmly by the staff.
There are plenty of tables and chairs in the large eating area, which are all nicely spaced out.
The toilet’s are downstairs and not that impressive, wet floor, a cold single room with a separate cubical for one each for male/female.
I didn’t notice if there was a disabled toilet on the first floor?
Once at the bottom of the stairs you can sneak a peak through the window into the basement kitchen area. Looked very efficient.
The restaurant was nice and warm, and a pickle tray was placed along side us, ordered a ‘basket’ of poppadum’s (don’t eat the weird things in the basket alongside the pops!!)
They had Cobra on draught which was duly ordered and a very nice pint indeed. Lots of drink choices behind the bar.
The server offered to help us through the menu and explain anything we didn’t understand.
There are so many delicious choices on the menu, and I ordered Laal Maans from the Chef’s specials. This is Lamb on the bone in a delicious sauce and I couldn’t get enough of it.
The rice was very tasty and prepared just right with the garlic naan (lots of garlic) cooked to perfection. I also ordered a Paratha but that was not as good as the awesome bread (bit over cooked)
All in all, I like this place, warm, friendly and very welcoming with fantastic food, it is one of the best curry’s I have had in quite a while and the chef(s) clearly knows their stuff.
My pet hate is having 3+ people asking if my meal was okay, not necessary and I was literally asked by two separate staff and a guy whom I believed was the owner.
Nice website 400dc
I will be booking again very, very soon. 9/10 and can not wait to return to try other menu options. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

"Horrible experience"
The food was okay. But there was no card payment option, they were accepting only cash. Moreover I ordered starters as well as Main course. The main course was taking very long, in the mean time when we were having starters(the quantity was very less) and masala tea, I asked my mother to have a cookie which was in my bag(my mother is diabetic, she needed food). Then I have been told not to eat anything from outside.
I mean what a cookie made the difference, I ordered everything(starters plus main course plus tea). You should pay individual attention to your customers. Not everybody’s same and not situation is same.

"This was our first visit and was…"
This was our first visit and was excellent, the food was hot and arrived quickly and one of the best curries to date , and the staff friendly and helpful and prices very reasonable. Took advantage of the 4 course deal for £9.95 excellent. The only negative was the restaurant whilst clean and comfy it does need a makeover as it's looking tired, but will still be going back non the less.👍👍👍👍👍😎

"We were a large group of Indians who…"
We were a large group of Indians who can claim to be true connoisseur of genuine Indian food . The food and service was amazing . There are a lot of Bangladeshi restaurants that masquerade as Indian restaurants but for true Indian fare this ticks all the boxes . True moghlai food needs to be prepared from scratch and so whilst this may take a little while the taste is absolutely worth it .

"Highly recommended!!!"
Thank you 400dc for the absolutely amazing authentic Indian dishes. Your Malai kofta was just perfect. Loved the Murgh Kadha too. None of the dishes were overly spicy like you get in other so called Indian restaurants. All dishes had a lovely balance of taste and flavour. 400dc definitely deserves recommending highly.
