"Great sales support, but misleading website"

Communication and advice from the company was great, helped us to make informed decisions regarding cutting down the worktop when it arrived. Quick delivery once we placed an order.
However, their website is misleading when it comes to sample orders. It implies that cost of any samples will be refunded in full when you place an order for a worktop. This only applies to a maximum of 2 samples. We ordered 4 samples, and only when I asked for a refund were we told only 2 can be refunded.

"Flimsy packaging"

The website and ordering process were straightforward. Delivery notifications and tracking were effective. Only reason it is not 5 stars is that the covering on the (solid oak) worktop was very flimsy, like cling film, and was slit in places.

The worktop arrived with a scratch on it, fortunately not an issue as we ordered unfinished, so it will be processed.

However, I expected that the covering would be heavier duty. It would not necessarily have prevented the scratch, but transporting a premium cost product, costing more than £150 a metre, in cling film seems nonsensical.

Our Delivery men, Ivo & Ivan, were excellent! They delivered our worktops with care and helped us to store them where we wanted. We were worried initially about ordering something like wood worktops online but have so pleased with them! Contact from House of Worktops is regular and helpful, the only thing that could be improved is arranging delivery at point of sale and the updates relating to delivery timescale - it is industry standard for 2-man deliveries to be up in the air a bit but it's the least smooth part of an otherwise seamless service. We highly recommend House of Worktops x
