My wife and I planned a trip to Portugal for the first time in 2020 - unfortunately it was delayed due to the pandemic, but we were able to make the trip in 2021 and booked a tour of Lisbon with Joao ahead of time. The price was very reasonable for the amount of time we spent on the tour.

When we got to Lisbon we discovered there are lots of Tuk-Tuk drivers, but after spending half a day with Joao we realized we found something special in him. Joao is incredibly knowledgable and our half-day with him was one of the highlights of our trip.

Joao knows Lisbon and its suburbs extremely well, and his tour was clearly well-planned and managed. He was courteous, friendly, knowledgable and showed us some remarkable outdoor artwork, beautiful vistas, and things we might never have noticed if he hadn't pointed them out.

Ample time is provided for getting out on foot and exploring areas like Belem and the cafeteria of a museum for a bite to eat. We even saw something we wanted to see up close and he went back to take us there.

We absolutely loved our tour with Joao and found ourselves very inspired. One year later, we have moved to Portugal and some of the first things we learned about the country, some of its historic events, and Lisbon locales in particular, were in large part from Joao's tour.

If you're looking for a great way to get familiar with Lisbon, look no further than Otukdojoao. You can book short or long tours. I felt four hours was a good time for us and it ended up being a bit longer when all was said and done. Well worth it!
