Ordered an angle grinder based polishing kit. It works brilliantly on stainless steel. the only negative is that the felt pads supplied are prone to rapid wear if polishing near fitting, bolts etc. That said, I'm really happy with the product and supplier.

I haven't used the polishing kit yet but iooks like a very good kit.It comes with all the necessary soaps and buffers and a mandrill to fit a power drill.I would recommend this kit for aluminium and steel.
