"They may not have assessors in you area so you pay for NOTHING "
I've been paying for this service for years after being referred by my membership organisation. When I finally needed to use them, I was told they couldn't help because they don't have claims assessors in my area. Why take my money if they can't provide the service? They have my address – if they can't offer coverage, I shouldn't have been able to sign up. When I called, the name "Aspray" appeared on my phone.

"I have just been contacted by customer…"
I have just been contacted by customer service agent claiming to be from TMA. He knew I had an accident and that the insurance company had settled it but said I was due compensation which would be paid in the form of a cheque.
He didn't ask for bank details and told me to end the call with anyone who did ask for bank details.
He has booked me in a call with a Verification Team tomorrow and I am getting a bit anxious that this was a scam call.
The number he gave was 0141 674 6884 is this genuine???
A very helpful manager from TMA has called me and informed me that this is a scam. A company is using his website to con people into making fraudulent claims against insurance companies.
I am so glad he called me so quickly I had booked a call for the next day with the scammer and now I know not to answer the phone. Be very wary of any cold calls coming from a Glasgow number apparently it’s a very popular place for scammers to call from.

"I can't praise this company enough"
I can't praise this company enough. I took out this policy (as a freebie) through a Carers Association in June 2023 when I replaced my car. I did not need it for 11.5 months and then a bus smashed the back of my car in - it was unattended, parked outside a shop - and this was about 18h30 at night.
By lunchtime the next day they had sent a recovery vehicle to uplift my car and store it until it could be shipped to nearer my home address (I was 200 miles from home) and they had arranged a courtesy car to be delivered the following day. So within less than 48 hours the claim was done and a vehicle arranged.
Unfortunately, I was rather distracted by the situation which caused me to be a bit careless on the stairs and on the day the courtesy car was due to be delivered, I slipped and broke my ankle. I had to cancel the courtesy car until I got permission to drive from my consultant.
The car which was damaged was a manual, which, given it was my left ankle that I broke, I would not have been able to drive. Assist Protect/Lemonaid made sure they provided me with an automatic courtesy car - a much better model (Nissan Qashqai) than my damaged vehicle - a Dacia Sandero.
My car was eventually written off as the damage was more than 2/3rd of the value of the car, and initially I was really upset as I thought I was going to lose money as obviously my car had devalued in the year I had driven it.
But NO. To my utter surprise, they got me a much better settlement amount because in their words "you have obviously looked after your car, it was in mint condition and your mileage was low" so between them and the salvagers I actually got more for my car than I paid for it a year ago.
The customer service has been phenomenal - they have communicated at every turn - they even helped me retrieve my dashcam from the salvagers.
I cannot praise them highly enough so much so that when my free policy lapsed at the end of May, I immediately took out another policy - even though I didn't yet have a car.
Thank you Assist Protect and Lemonaid Insurance - your staff are all absolute champions - there are too many to name here but they all went above and beyond.

"Genueinly conscientious company with great people."
Conscientious company that has people that genuinely care. Unfortunately, there are some Indian scammers impersonating this company (they also called themselves UK Insurance Limited on the same call) and pointing at this website to get fake credibility.
When I filled in the form on the website, the MD called me personally to discuss this scam and explained the problems it's caused their business. Ignore the 1* reviews here and elsewhere which suggest this business is scamming people - it is absolutely not, it's a legitimate business that deals through a network of partners - they don't cold call anyone.
If you got a call claiming to be from Assist Protect and you're reading this, it's probably a scammer. I feel sorry for them having to fend off bad reviews!

"Complete waste of time"
I contacted Total Motor Assist because they say they can help whether you’re at fault or not. However they couldn’t have been less helpful when I told them my insurance company had said I was at fault. Clearly they are only interested in no fault accidents where they can make money out of someone else. I got no assistance at all just told to go through my insurance company.
