"Copious and tasty meals, packaging needs improving"

Very copious meals and a good selection of vegetarian dishes. The rice was enough for 4 servings. The chickpeas in a sauce on their own was a bit too hot for being on the mild side and would have benefitted with extra vegetables with it. One big downside is the packaging, there's too much of it and not at all environmentally friendly, difficult recycle or compost. The company needs to improve on this. Others have risen to the challenge successfully.

Absolutely flavourful food which was devoured by our whole family. Grandmas lamb was especially delicious but all dishes were amazing. My one complaint would be that the actual portion sizes are smaller than those from take-away curry houses. Still good value for the excellent taste.

I first heard about Chef Akila years ago when my local butcher told me about the high quality of meat that was required. I'm pleased to say that the original high standards are still maintained even though the business has grown from its small beginnings.
