The bare-root roses are shipped securely and safely. The instruction book that comes with it is very helpful.
The three rose bushes planted last Spring have done amazingly well. I ordered a fourth bush for planting this Spring and so far, it too is growing well.

CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! When I call, I talk with a LIVE (!) person, instead of having to go through 27 prompts!! She answered all my questions about planting bare root, rose food, etc. Customer service seems to be a dying art these days, so it's very much appreciated to be able to have an actual conversation with gardeners in the know. And, of course, your gorgeous roses! Just planted my 3rd Evelyn!

However I would prefer to pick the month that the rose arrives.
Southern Calf and Northern Calif have very different climates. Mine came during a very heavy frost period.
