This Company tried to scam us not once but twice. Thankfully, everything was in writing.

This review is quite a story so get ready. We contracted with Websitedesignengine to assist us with our WordPress site. They failed miserably. They have a 100% moneyback guarantee. This guarantee is listed on their website. After giving their team many chances including switching team members to try to ensure success for all parties, we exercised the guarantee. Websitedesignengine refused to honor the guarantee. We submitted the written guarantee to our credit card company. The credit card company issued the refund.
After the initial refund, Websitedesignengine put the charge back on our card! We contacted them and asked them to apply the refund. They again refused to honor their 100% money back guarantee. So we posted a review on Trustpilot.
In response to the poor review, the owner of the company, Adam Smith (this “name” should’ve been my first indication of inauthenticity) called us. He claimed to be the owner and was very sorry. Mr. “Smith” said he would refund our money if we removed the Trustpilot review.
We will work with an owner. We understand it’s not easy to be the owner of a company. He agreed that he would honor the 100% moneyback guarantee once we removed the review. So we removed the review.
Despite Websitedesignengine’s written and verbal guarantees of a 100% refund, they never refunded our money (again). We have provided the documentation evidencing their agreement to a 100% refund to the credit card company.
Do not use this Company. We have all the documentation in support of this review and are happy to provide copies.
