"Horrible driving school Stay away."
Horrible driving school. Instructor Jude is a liar, rude and very unprofessional. While you are driving he is more interested in his phone. This company doesn't even care that his instructor breaking a law. When you are driving he even treats you. I felt so uncomfortable with him, while I was driving. Try to change instructor, first response, we don't have any instructors. When I was calling and try to get back my money, then Management team sends poorly email- there is no any chance gets money back, but we can change you an instructor, who never have a time. The unprofessional, liar is John McDonald. but seem it is not possible to contact them and get any answers from the management team. I got one email from John McDonald, seems he has no idea, what is law and what is personal responsibility and really don't care about new drivers. This company even makes you feel you guilty because you working and you can get to lesson at 9 am. The best thing they are changing the terms and conditions like socks. Please STAY AWAY FROM LIARS, THIEVES, AND HORRIBLE PEOPLE. I am still fighting to get back my money.

"Terribel Driver and careless company policy"
1st lesson that I had the driver was constantly grabbing the wheel. 2nd lesson he never turned up due to a cancellation that I did not request. My lesson was then rearranged and the driver turned up 35minutes late and when I went to look out my window the driver was no where to be found. I had to call the company 3 times only to be told it was my fault and out of the 5 hours I booked I had 3 hours of actually lesson and only 1 passed over to a new driver that I'm only keeping in contact with. I sent a email and still 2 weeks later I have not been replied to. Any time you call doesn't matter what department, the man is the same person you are talking to. They are just a couple of con artist and not to be trusted. So don't be fooled by their cheap deal and "great" review on their site because they have just written that up themselves and paid people to promote their company!

"Having had a bad experience with…"
Having had a bad experience with another driving school, I was recommended to Want Driving Lessons by my uncle. They were far cheaper then the other driving schools and they had fully qualified instructors. I passed my driving test and my son is now doing lessons with them.

"Unlawful company"
Unlawful company.
Refuse refunds and claim they have no refund policy! BY LAW under the distant selling act you are entitled to a 14 day cooling off period, they told me as they are a private company the law does not apply to them!!! hahaha i called Citizens Advice - Trading Standards and they told me to draft a letter stating the law and i got my refund!
i will be telling Trading Standards to investigate as they are breaking the law!

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!"
DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY!!!! They’re very quick to take your money but not to refund it. Sent a compaint weeks ago and when I called to chase it up, they told me it’s not priority and do I want a response to it?!?! My instructor (Vino) was terrible, would answer phone whilst I was driving, teach me manoeuvres I don’t even need to know and I had one lesson is the space of 6 weeks then she told me I’d have to wait another 4 weeks for another lesson! I did 25 hours and when I started lessons with my new school they thought I’d only had a couple! Utterly ridiculous and this isn’t even the half of it. Just don’t make the mistake like I did and give them your money.

"Couldn't provide the lessons refused to give a refund, currently in a dispute with them."
Had the same experience as the person below. Bought 20 lessons and asked for 2 x 2 hour lessons a week over the 2.5 months till my test with the idea of buying more later on as I couldn't afford to pay for it all in one go. Received 3 lessons over 8 weeks of 1.5 hours as the instructor (Noah) preferred to do 1.5 hours instead of 2. Was then asked to meet him 30-40mns away for the lessons which involved me commuting back and forth for lessons which usually are picked up from your home. With 3 weeks until my exam left I decided to leave and find a reliable driving school that could book lessons in advance and deliver the 4 hours a week I wanted.
On asking for a refund they stated that they were an intermediary and i would need to bring this up with Noah (what the hell). That Noah could do all the lessons in 2 weeks (like any one could fit in 7-10 hours a week for driving lessons when they work and study). And on that basis would not give me the refund.
They claim they can still provide the service they offered its just because I'm busy that they are unable to. They are unbelievable and clearly don't care about providing customer service or ensuring the drivers they employ can deliver what they offer.
Raising a dispute with paypal. I'd advise paying the extra money and going with the AA £25 an hour and book all the lessons in advance for your date.
Also the 5 star reviews look dodgy. Probably the company trying to salvage some credibility to me.

"Save your time and money!!!"
I do not recommend wantdrivinglessons their services are poor! I block booked a 20 hour lesson during the second week of October, their office shortly called me that they were not able to give me lessons in the first week, but was able to give it to me lessons the week after given my instructor's details. Which I thought was OK, however I wasn't contacted during the start of the second week and I had to give my instructor a call. It turns out he was too busy helping with others with their driving test and he said he will definitely call me later that day to reschedule.
That never happened and fast forward to the third week I had enough and thought I will call them directly for a refund, so I called them and they said it was the instructors fault and offered me to take lessons with another instructor or wait for the manager to contact me for a refund by emailing to them. So I had to wait for a reply and for some reason my initial instructor contacted me and kept begging me to have my driving lessons with him, but I told him the company gave me another instructor while I would wait for my refund (seems he was desperate or there was bad communication between the instructors and the office)
Anyways to this day I still haven't received a reply from them about my refund. HOWEVER I did get my money back by opening a dispute to PAYPAL. I swear PAYPAL saved me from this mess and I highly recommend everyone to use PAYPAL whenever possible, otherwise I'd waste my time further with this poor of an excuse driving school.
