"Not worth any bit of money."
After having this shipped to my parents house as a surprise gift for my husband he had it for less than 3 weeks and the pedal broke. I called the hot line and the guy I spoke with told me it was our fault for over tightening the pedal and that they don’t typically fix this type of situation but he would do it just this once? After send me a questionnaire with 40 QUESTIONS and needing photos I heard back from him. He clarified I needed a pedal AND crank arm he said we would receive our new part within 7-10 business days. Well 12 business days later we only review the pedal!???!! I emailed the guy back asking questions and I was informed the email was no longer active:) So I called the hotline yet again this time getting a women who said she was going to check to see if the parts were even IN STOCK??? Are you kidding me?!?? When you call the business phone number it says you will receive parts faster than ever: 3-5 business days. WHAT A JOKE. Finally she responded to me that they had the part and would send the crank arm to me as soon as possible (another 7-10 business days) surprise surprise we got the part 10 business days later…..We had the bike for 3 weeks and it took over 2 months to get replacement parts. Of course it’s far too late to receive a refund for the product otherwise I would have gotten money back. Do not buy these bikes. Not nearly as nice as 3G. -_- learned my lesson the hard way that’s for sure.

"I purchased this bike because i was…"
I purchased this bike because i was reassured help would be available! Well ,,,in my opinion you fell really short of that ! You have a phone number posted to call for assistance but those people are not bicycle mechanics in fact they seem to not even know their product ! Calling that number and being given a bad vid to watch is not and was not help to me ! It was more like a bait and switch ! I was able to get the bike together but not without struggle and frustration and given the run around by their employees at the help number! They even hung up on me ! I guess their frustration of dealing with a stressed customer carries more weight than the frustrated customer itself ! I wont be giving this company another dime ! Their employees seemed they would rather i sent the bike back than help me with the problem ! I wish i had done more research ,,i probably would have purchased a bike from a different company .

"Poor customer service"
I needed some help from you there was a problem with the bicycle. I contacted customer support to speak with someone to get help while putting the bike together. I got voicemail multiple times. It was very frustrating. No one ever called me back. I had to disassemble the bike & return it. Very unpleasant experience.

"Pros and Cons"
Pro: my Around The Block 500W women's Beach Cruiser is absolutely beautiful and I am wholeheartedly in love with it. My biggest worry when ordering it was whether it would arrive without any damage and how easy or difficult it would be to assemble it myself. Happy to report it arrived with no damaged parts! But-Con: it was missing one very important piece: the front fender! Sure I was still able to ride it, and I doubt if anyone but me noticed the missing fender, but it was pretty disappointing wanting to ride this beauty around intact, and having to settle for less-than. Pro: called company about it and they were easy to get a hold of and quick to respond. Con: They sent the fender, and the hardware, but apparently there was trouble sending the strut that attaches it. It took 3 weeks and several follow-up emails on my part to finally get that last piece. And the day after I received it, a second one arrived the following day. So there seems to be a little bit of a problem with warehouse fulfillment...
As for the directions - well - Pros: The bike is 85% assembled when it arrives and for the rest of it - there are many many online videos to choose from for help putting things together, as well as a booklet assembly guide that came with the bike. Cons: It takes a lot of time to sift through the videos to see what applies to YOUR specific bike, and you may not find it and have to guess by using the videos for other bikes. And I found the assembly guide book to be completely useless. For one thing it didn't match my bike and for another, I don't think it was written all that well. As a former corporate trainer who has written many training manuals, it was a little sub par. I don't think the person who wrote it had any actual professional experience at doing such a thing.
I did have so much trouble trying to get the front disc brakes to work without constant rubbing that I ended up hiring a professional who was able to get it done after10 minutes of constant readjustment. He felt there was a little bit of a design flaw, due to the angle of one of the pieces of the front forks. Had no trouble with the back one, though. But, an additional $40 expense...
All in all I am very happy with the bike. it is a joy to ride! But I feel that the assembly videos and written materials could be much improved by offering ones specifically for each type of bike with more thorough pictures and zoom shots. And the customer service emails, while not really 'bad', could've been just a lot nicer in their interactions. Was sad there was no follow-up with a phone call asking how it was going and what they could do to help. And lastly, all parts, like FENDERS, should come with the original bike package and not have to be chased after, for weeks.

I really like my bike and cannot wait until I feel comfortable enough to ride it (still working on my balance strength).

"Wrong again"
The replacement fork from my warranty claim was also bent and the charger was missing a piece so I can't charge the bike.

"Simple operating Manual"
Have tried to get a simple operations manual with no success. Just get mumbo jumbo about videos re: assemble. My bike was professionally assembled and I have no complaints but what controls are for what?
Regretfully.

"First ebike..."
We got a great deal on my wife's first ebike and a bunch of accessories. She loves it. With the accessories it's personalized just for her.

"The only issue I have with the purchase…"
The only issue I have with the purchase is the Assembly instructions were confusing at times.
I’m sure after fine tuning the rear breaks one more issue, the ride will be great.
