SunGift Solar installed PV panels under the HUG2 scheme together with a battery. My roof required strengthening and they carried out this work quickly and efficiently before installing the solar system. All work was carried out on time and the engineers were always polite.
Overall, very happy with the experience so far and have already recommended the company to a neighbour!

Because we had these installed under the government's HUG2 scheme a third-party contractor based in Bristol, they were responsible for the handover rather the SunGift themselves. initially, the contractor didn't pass over the documentation we needed to allow us to start Exporting (this was the contractor's error, not Sungift).
After several sessions of email tennis, the contractor finally sent the documentation, alas for completely the wrong address! Luckily a very helpful lady at National Grid was able to sort it out for us and send us the correct certificate.
Be warned it could be several weeks before you receive the necessary paperwork to allow you to 'export' back to your energy provider.

I recently had issues with a failed optimiser on one of my solar panels. SunGift dealt with it promptly and efficiently. Amelia kept me informed every step of the way and provided prompt responses to my queries. I thoroughly recommend them.

"Customer Service? What Customer Service!"
This is a story of two halves. In September 2023 I had a large Solar Panel ground array and a Huawei battery storage system installed at my address by Sungift Solar. The planning and installation were conducted seamlessly and professionally with my point of contact within the company. Even after the installation any fine tweaking to the system was undertaken remotely by my contact within the company. Unfortunately that contact left the company at the end of November. With the onset of winter I needed to have some adjustments undertaken to the battery storage equipment in order to make the most of the cheap overnight tariffs. These minor adjustments can be undertaken remotely but only by companies who have installer rights. Having had no response to my initial email I sent a further two emails requesting the changes to be made. As I had not received any replies I thought the company may have ceased trading, so I contacted them by telephone. Promises were made to have the adjustments made, but nothing happened. So I phoned again. Same thing, promises made zero action. I emailed for a fourth time and made a formal complaint about the lack of customer service. Absolutely no response. I am now going directly to the manufactures to see if they can assist.
If you value customer service avoid this company like the plague. If they can’t be bothered to respond to a minor issue or even a complaint in respect of the lamentable customer service, I doubt you will get any joy if something substantial goes wrong.
It all stated so well but it appears that the contact I had within the company was the only one who had a sense of customer service. Such a shame he left. I certainly would use Sungift Solar for any further work.

SunGift Solar provided professional and personal advice and assistance throughout the works to repair our solar panels ( damaged by squirrels!). Easy to contact and talk to and very helpful. Would recommend.
