We had our back bedroom , landing,downstairs hall, and kitchen decorated. The decorators Darius and Radek were both really nice guys, turned up on time every day, worked hard and completed an excellent job!

I contacted the business to arrange a mist coat of new plaster after a botched job by the previous painters. The estimator called and requested pictures to be sent over WhatsApp. He messaged a fixed price of £4,777 (after a 10% discount). I requested a specification and he immediately countered with whether I agreed with the estimate.

£5K to paint diluted matt emulsion on 3 walls seems a tad expensive so I said I needed to understand the spec to decide if the fee was fair and reasonable. The response what that the price was for two top coats of paint! No sanding down involved.

It is best practice to lightly sand the surfaces before applying paint so that there is a key.

I only wanted the mist coat done so for me this business absolutely failed in basic listening skills and and estimating.

The job was to paint the outside of a conservatory and to repair or replace rotten wood. The quotation process was quick and efficient. The quote was reasonable and clear. Communications were good. The painter arrived on time each day, was polite and efficient. A good job was done.
