"Communication is key"

I cannot rate your product yet since my estimated ship date was changed from 11/4 to 11/17. I was not informed of the change and only found out because I emailed and asked if the item had shipped. I would appreciate better communication. As a designer, I need to be able to provide clients and contractors with accurate information.

Edit: The owner of the company did reach out when my original review went public. However, I do believe the sincerity of his apology and his desire to correct the situation. The quality of the furniture we ordered is absolutely top-notch. He just got in his own way, as we all do from time to time. So I'm amending my review. Based on the quality of the product and his apology.....I'll give them three stars with the possibility of better reviews on future orders.

I would absolutely give them zero stars if I could. I placed my order in June, 2022. I received it this week. I am very understanding about supply chain issues and the resulting delays. They gave me an estimated ship date of Sept. 1. My issue arose when that day came and went and I was unable to get any information from the company at all. When I finally received a call at the end of September, the man was rude and antagonistic. He blamed people who didn't want to work anymore, he blamed a communication breakdown, he blamed his suppliers. He took no responsibility whatsoever. Turns out they hadn't even started the build because they were waiting for one small part that wasn't integral to the construction. He agreed to "push his people", but again reminded me that no one wanted to work anymore. 100% not my problem as I'd been waiting almost a full month for any type of communication from this company. I spent the next month begging for shipping dates. He never returned a single call, but his purchasing agent finally did, on 10/18. She couldn't have been any nicer. Other company reps were not as polite. Even the shipping company also received some truly poor treatment when they couldn't complete the delivery. Turns out the SmartDesk didn't provide a full shipping address, my name, or my direct phone number. It took them three days to sort it out.

The quality of the product is top notch. I need eight more and I'm truly sorry that I will not be using this company again. Some decent customer service would've gone a long way.

We had a great experience with SMARTdesks. There was a mix-up with hardware but their team worked with us, and and made sure we had what we needed and provided technical assistance.

The Product met my expectation. The lead time is a bit long but not bad. The customer service responses were also a little slow. After a while it started to speed up as I was closer to finalizing the order. I needed the power trough to have the table made so I knew where it was to be placed. We had to wait on this step to take the next.
