I bought the year subscription for my in-laws who are from Ireland but living in the US and they love it and look forward to what each new package will hold.

On my 2nd three-month subscription and can honestly say that each box that arrives shows such thought put into the contents. The boxes have a theme to them and the March box theme was St. Patrick and Spring. The box always contains a letter from Katherine - a wonderful monthly missive. For March she described how Spring is emerging in her corner of Dingle - from the new born animals to what's coming into flower. Each month the letter tells us about the various makers of the box's contents. It's so interesting to learn about these various artisans and how they started their enterprises. It's lovely to know that you are helping to support small businesses! The boxes always have some wonderful photographs in them - whether as a note card or just for hanging up, the photos are beautiful and always make us wish we were in Ireland! In the March box we received 2 food treats - crisps and biscuits! Especially enjoyed lunch and my afternoon tea that day with the added treats. We received a beautiful, heavy cotton tea towel and 2 matching coasters with a St.Patrick theme. We also received a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle (I love jigsaw puzzles!) with a picture of the giant and the Giant's Causeway. In addition, Katharine wrote a beautiful booklet on the life/history of St. Patrick. And to keep us feeling loved till out next box arrives, we received an adorable round, carved wooden "hug." Oh, did I mention that we also get a recipe every month as well? This month it was Soda Farls, which I have never heard of, but am quite anxious to try. Every box is definitely worth much more than the cost of the box, not just monetarily, but in the friendships we strike up on the Facebook group page, the wonderful feeling you get opening up each box, knowing how much thought Katharine has put into the contents, and the little tug that "pings" your heart with the anticipation of part of your heritage coming into your home each month. My Ireland Box is one of the best gifts I have given to myself.
