I did my onsite training with Nova such great information taught in class.
Gave me a very good insight to working on a construction site, I was given the opportunity to shadow Electricians which has now helped me gain an Apprenticeship.

"When I started this course I was…"

When I started this course I was unemployed after working 10 years in the airport as a Ramp Agent. I I was tired of shift work As it was affecting my family life and social life.

So I decided to embark on a new career in construction, as it was something I always wanted to do, and had some minor experience as a labourer many years ago.

My work coach at the job centre put me in touch with novas, who was running the Cscs construction 4-week course.

I knew this course was perfect for me because it gave me a chance to get my Cscs card (Which is required to be on a building site), And for the fact that the course included 2 weeks of work experience on a building site run by Willmott Dickson.

The course was an amazing experience and I gained valuable work experience which helped me to decide the trade I wanted to go into.

I passed my CSCS test and also met many people from different backgrounds and cultures, which will be helpful in the construction industry. Novas was instrumental in the way he taught the class and helped us pass our course. Through his passion for teaching and his sharing of his experiences inspired me more in the career, I was about to embark on.



Since the course finished I have managed to secure a job as a Trainee Drylinner, which am over the moon about.



Am truly grateful for having the opportunity to go on the course and would recommend this course to anyone.

The way in which the information was presented gave me a better understanding and increased my knowledge about Health and Safety to keep myself and others safe, than I had before.

Your encouragement on how to conduct myself on an interview became useful. I remembered what you said about talking about what I know. It helped with my interview with J P Dunn Construction.

The Work experience was great; from my traning i have been officially offered a traineeship post with JP Dunn Construction, as a Civil Engineer.

I have been taught by Nova on Pre-Construction training in September 2021.

Before that course I was so afraid. My English is not as good as I would like as I am still learning. I really wanted to understand and learn what that course was about. Nova gave me a chance to check some vocabulary in a dictionary, he explained what was important to learn, understand and remember.

I liked the way he taught us; slowly (mostly because of me), many reinforcements and highlighting the most important things. He tried to get to know us better. We talked not only about the course topic, but also about us and our interests.

I think Nova became a friend to me during the course and we still have very good contact.
