"10 Day Bali Experience"

I took part in the 10 day Bali Experience trip and absolutely loved it! The programme is jam packed with fun activities and is a great way to experience a new place, especially as a younger traveler. Our guide Ikrar was amazing and made it so much fun for everyone involved! He had great local knowledge and was happy to help with anything we needed, as well as being the life and soul of the party! I would definitely recommend TruTravels and hope you’re lucky enough to get Ikrar as your guide when you book!!

I did the 10 day Bali Experience with TruTravels. Our guide was Ikrar and he was the best guide ever! He was very knowledgeable about Balinese culture and seemed friendly with some of the locals at the places we went. He was willing and able to help us with anything we needed at anytime. He went out with us to the bars and parties every night and we had so much fun! He became so close with us as a group it was hard saying goodbye on the last day! This was my first time traveling with Trutravels and it was so easy! They were easily able to book us an extra night for early arrival while still offering airport pickup which we were very thankful for! Ikrar was very helpful in booking all of us our way back from the island to bali and wherever we needed to go after the tour. It was such a great experience getting to meet people from all around the world. It was a smooth and easy booking process I will definitely be using Trutravels again in the future!

Travelling Sri Lanka with an amazing tour guide (Mahen). He has lots of knowledge and was always willing to answer questions. Mahen would put in extra effort to make sure we were all happy. The experience was the best, I wish I could do it all over again for the first time. I particularly loved meeting the locals and trying new foods. I couldn't have asked for a better guide or tour experience.

Worst travel company I have booked with
Before I went on my trip I received no communication before the trip started. I emailed on multiple occasions and received no replies. I ended up phoning up because I was concerned and worried with date to go fast approaching, I was told they have received my emails and said they don’t send anything and it is down to the tour leader who normally messages the same week as the trip to communicate with us because after we book tru travels have nothing to do with us . A Number of the girls on the trip also asked for an itinerary of trip before hand so they can plan things around the trip. in which they were refused with tru travels reasoning to be that they haven’t got one. Another big issue was I was not told the starting hostel until the same day I was flying out as I kept being told it can change whenever I phoned up and asked which left me emailing them while checking in my bags in which they did not respond for 9 hours. Whilst at the hostel they couldn’t didn’t my booking and due to tru travels poor communication I didn’t even have booking confirmation to prove that I was booked on the trip which left me desperately trying to find some sort of confirmation I was on the trip. The receptionist then felt bad for me and let me check in early so I can chill after the half an hour of stress of trying to find some sort of proof I was on the trip.


While on the tour, we were taken to a place and were given limited time to take ourselves around so the tour advertisement is misleading. On our mt fuji day it was unfortunately cancelled due to the weather which is understandable but when we all went to get our money back for missed pirate ship and cable cars. We were told that the 30 minute view point the next morning was the replacement and refused to refund anything back to any of us even though the company received a refund and spent nothing on the replacement due to only taking a bus to the viewpoint this leads me onto that 80% of the activities were free despite us all paying over £2000 to go on the trip. Lastly tru travels advertise that all travel is included. This is a lie we all ran out of money of our IC on day 9 of a 12 day trip and all had to use £30+ of our own money to get to activities and to get back to tokyo where were all flying from. When we all raised this with tru travels they refused to accept any blame and told us it is our fault of spending it on journeys which was not on the itinerary when not a single one of us used the travel card provided on any extra travel. When we asked for a breakdown of the cost of the card we were refused and tru travels refused to look at the journeys made on our travel card.

I love group travel because it takes the stress out of booking yourself and you have already got likeminded individuals on the trip from day one but unfortunately the whole experience of tru travel ruined it. I completely understand that the Japan trip is a new trip but whenever any of us question anything to tru travels we all receive passive aggressive emails back and get told they won’t take our feedback into consideration. I came away from the trip feeling disappointed and deflated that I spent all my money on a trip I didn’t see much out of.

"NTA trip with Peanut 5⭐️"

I am currently at the airport sad to be leaving the Northern Thailand Adventure, 14 day tour. The activities were excellent, a great balance between culture and fun, with particular highlights being the Elephant Sanctuary (Chiang Mai Elephant Home) and the Grand Canyon water park! Peanut was an exceptional tour guide. His knowledge and guidance was fantastic and he made sure that every small detail was planned and organised for us. He communicated clearly each day, identifying what we needed to take with us for the activity, etc. The activities were brilliant, and Peanut adapted the plan to suit our group upon meeting us which made it so much more individualised and personal. If I was recommending the tour to a friend, I’d be suggesting they request Peanut! A few of us had never done a solo/group trip before and we felt so relaxed and welcomed as soon as we arrived. No trip will ever be the same without him. Thank you for such memorable tour Peanut! We will miss your funny phrases and guidance - love you more than yesterday x

An amazing trip made even better by our wonderful tour guide, Nana!! Itinerary was the perfect mix of educational tours and fun activities. All of the places we stayed were great and many even had pools which was a bonus! Also appreciated that there was plenty of time for exploring on your own / downtime to relax at the hotel. Overall an amazing experience and super fun trip!

Nana was very helpful, energetic and supportive. He was always in a good mood and always wanted us to have fun no matter what was going on. He was very communicative and always there to help. On our first day, he said that we were his family now and he really did treat us like that. I wasn’t feeling well last night along with a couple of other girls and he came to our room to make sure we were okay. I felt very safe with him as well He has definitely been my favorite tour guide so far and I will miss him!
TruTravels in general is a great company. I had many questions before and during my trip, and they always responded quickly (by email). I would recommend TruTravels to anyone that is interested in traveling with a fun group and fun tour guide!
