We had used larger geotechnical consultants in the past but having asked Philip Price to quote we thought we would give him a chance and were very glad we did.
Our project involved 2 dwellings on a farm to replace an existing barn. We needed a ground contamination desk study and a soil investigation for foundation design. Philip's quote was very reasonable and he stuck to the promised time scales. We were delighted that the contamination report was accepted by the local planning authority with no further work required. On the foundation design he tried hard to help us avoid the timber frame firm's insistence on the need for piles, with further site investigation that he carried out at weekends. We decided in the end to have the piles but we were grateful for Philip's efforts on our behalf which helped us to make that decision.
The service he provides is of a high professional standard given in a cheerful and friendly way and we would highly recommend him.
