I spoke to three different people at Paymentshield who were all excellent in their ability to answer my queries . Each of them answered my questions fully and explained each and every step in a clear and precise manner . My insurance premium was adjusted ,lower , to reflect my new circumstances . A very positive experience .

I spoke with a young man called William, he was very polite and professional when asking if I wanted to renew a policy I have. I did not feel pressured and it makes such a difference when receiving a call. I was happy to renew my policy and it was completed efficiently.

I just want to say thank you TrustPilot for giving me 3 years of claims bonus in just one year of service for a first time buyer,but unfortunately I can’t continue with you because you increased the price.
And now about the person who I spoke on the phone Elaine, she was very nice and helpful, she tried to explain and tried to find a way to see if she can drop the price but unfortunately she couldn’t give me a better offer for my new house ensure .

"Great customer service"

We were referred to Payment Shield under recommendation by our mortgage broker, and instantly felt at ease and understood reasons for the referral.
The first call for an initial quote, the advisor was very informative on what the policy covered based on our needs. The second call, which came about very quickly after the first, Will was very helpful in reloading & adjusting the quote slightly to get us the best possible deal subject to live rates.
We found that in each communication, the advisors are friendly and knowledgeable and made the whole process to get set up swiftly.

"Why I'm moving on"

A decently transaparent and helpful bunch over at PaymentShield.

Customer service is impeccable. Coming from a 3 year customer facing role, some years ago, the agents are well trained, mannered, and attentive to customer issues and building good resolutions.

I am choosing to move on to a different insurer since the prices offered by their panel for the cover offered is simply too much, above the market currently.

There are no real solid arguments to sustain the rise in price or justify the above market policy cover.

Specifically 4 other insurers could offer me a price of 25-30% less than their quote, even after being a loyal customer for 3 years, running onto the 4th.

We've seen a whopping 27% increase year on year of our policy yearly price.

RSA (current insurer) are exiting the market, and even though we hold a 4 year no claims bonus, the new proposed insurer AXA wanted to charge me about 27% more than the year before.

I did manage to shop around, and for the exact same cover, I picked up a new policy for a massive 48% less than what PaymentShield could offer me as their best last price.

I suspect their customer acquisition costs are low, since they don't really make an effort to retain existing customers.

But I cannot fault them entirely, they have a mediocre panel of insurers and they are doing their best.

While they do charge admin fees (my new insurer doesn't), they are a healthy business, and their on-the-ground employees which I had the pleasure of speaking with, are all a delight.

Thanks for your business & sorry we couldn't continue together!

Would recommend, just a tad pricey for the current insurance market.

"I recently had to cancel my policy with…"

I recently had to cancel my policy with PaymentShield due to my property being sold. My experience as a customer was always positive and I never lacked the information or help I needed. I contacted the team regarding a refund, Lucy Greer promptly attended to my query and resolved it fairly quickly. Reassuring me they would help me with anything I might need. I am extremely pleased with their service and after Lucy's competence I must say I am certainly confident they will always pay attention to their customer's needs.
