"Not worth a star at all!"

Not worth a star I’m afraid. Nothing about NARIC is trustworthy. I was informed that I don’t need IELTS Test as long as I have a Bachelor Of Science Degree. After a month or so, I followed up and they said it wasn’t enough. A ‘Medium Of Instruction’ letter was asked for. Ok fine, fair enough. I had to obtain it from my school in the middle of the first lockdown. It took a lot of processing, fees and long distance calls. But I got it for them along with a Certificate from CHED (Commission On Higher Education), authenticated by the DFA (Department Of Foreign Affairs) of my country itself. Another month- nothing. Followed up again, this time they said they need 4 months to research. Hmmm... Why ask for a document that you need to research for that long? 4 months over and now they apologise for the ‘miscommunication’ and that I need a PHD. Wow! Right... one PhD coming right up?! They might get lucky to be able to pull that out of their behind instead! So then back to where I started out with them... Telling me to take an IELTS. 6 frigging months! There goes my wedding date! Thanks a lot, if I was pregnant, my baby will be born out of wedlock! What makes them think that apologies and refund are enough to compensate that?! Not to mention the effort and runaround they put you through? Someone’s head should roll for this kind of BS. Here’s to you Naric: Get off your useless auto replies that you rely on so much and do some real work! You mention options that doesn’t even help at all when it’s not really an Option! It doesn’t make you look or sound anything close to being professional. You ask people to upload new documents when that ‘window’ is no longer in your system. How can people then check or update as you asked? Interesting that all THIS is coming from a supposedly International Office representing one of the most powerful countries in the world.
UKVI shouldn’t even bother requiring NARIC Letters. Naric itself cannot even understand what they are asking for needing months on end of research on it! Research first before asking for a Document!

I’m adding in this paragraph after a few hours of receiving a request to provide more info to Naric to ‘help’ them understand and verify my experience with them. Sorry but I am done ‘helping’ Naric. I see from their replies here that they are just trying to cover their own bases to defend themselves. They’re not helping anyone but themselves.

As expected! Oooh... Im beyond unhappy! Should I say Thank you for the ‘diplomatic’ reply that I have already predicted would happen? If Naric would just properly understand this complaint there won’t be any need to repeat their ‘suggestion’ that I have already answered above. Bureaucracy at its best! Well done!

97%? Really?! That’s a tall claim. You guys have mastered the art of delusion. Have fun with that. At this point, I do not care for any of your ‘services’. Sure! You’ll investigate and just end up telling me that there’s nothing you can do and only apologize for your ‘miscommunication’ like your manager Zoe has. I’m sure she’ll remember me. Go on then and investigate. I’m writing this for the benefit of all other people - for their info how terrible Naric service can be - not for your comments and ‘investigations’. You’ve wasted way more than you deserve of my time. 6 months! So pardon me if I refuse to give you any more.

"This is my first time of dealing with…"

This is my first time of dealing with NARIC and I must say I have been served with a good quality service delivery. Regular updates mixed with delivery of final service a day before the actual promised delivery date was superb. One cannot get better than that. "If I could give no stars I would"

If I could give no stars I would ! They told me what price I would have to pay to get my australian plumbing certificates recognised for plumbing in the uk so I paid it then they when that was completed they said that was step 1 now to move onto step 2 which was about £600. I emailed them telling them I was a refund as they never explained that it was going to be more than one step and cost that much. Then when told I would be given a refund less “administration fees” which I wouldn’t even of gone ahead with it all if I had know how much it would of cost. And it has taken 10 days to finally get a refund oh half my money. Pack of thieves

Replying to the reply: Never once did I receive a price or did I see one on your website. I asked for one but was only ever told about the £120 fee which I was more than happy to pay, then once I found out around the next payment of around £600 it was too late to get a full refund because it was never fully explained to me.

"Very pleased with the speedy services"

I am very pleased with U.K. NARIC’s services. I applied to them to certify my bachelor degree overseas is equivalent to a bachelor degree obtained in the U.K. I applied a few days before Christmas and their website indicated that they were closed until after the new year. To my surprise, I received an email from them 2 days after my application saying that my certificate is on its way via the Royal Mail. Their online system is very clear and easy to use, and allow me to track every step of my application as well as the delivery status of my certificate.

"They gave me the wrong equivalent certificate, don't use this service"

This is a real email thread with them:

To UK Naric:
(...) Please do find attached the Spanish Education Ministry certificate indicating the MA level of my studies on Licenciada en (...), which is wrong in the statement of comparability that you sent me. (Bachelor)

To UK NARIC:
Hi, I have already contacted you regarding a wrong level of my education degree. I need the correct Master's degree certificate and not a Bachelor degree linked to my Licenciada en (...), obtained in 1996. Please do contact me as soon as possible.

Response:
Dear Ms ,

Thank you for your e-mail.
As stated in the terms and conditions of the service, to which you agreed, and the information on the Statement of Comparability, any correspondence relating to a completed assessment must be received within 6 months of completion.
As this period has now elapsed, we are unable to address your concerns.
Should you wish to reapply, we would gladly address your concerns upon completion of the new assessment.
If you wish to start a new application for any of our services, please refer to the information on our website for details on how to apply.

IS IT NOT YOUR JOB TO CHECK AND MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUIVALENT DEGREES ARE CORRECT? I SENT FURTHER INFORMATION TO HELP AND TO POINT OUT YOUR MISTAKE, NOT TO DO THE JOB THAT YOU SHOULD BE DOING.

Don't use this service if you can avoid it.

"I had a positive experience with UK NARIC"

I wanted to write this review as I was quite anxious before using their services due to the poor reviews around here, so here is my story.

I have created easily an account, submitted the scanned my bachelor's diploma and the transcript around 28th December 2020. The diploma was in my native language (European language) and the transcript was both in my native language and in English, so I was unsure whether I should pay the translation fee or no, but in order to avoid delays I decided to pay for that as well.
The website clearly stated that between Christmas and New Year their office was closed, so I got a reply confirming that my request was in progress on 6th January.
On the 7th January I was informed that a refund was processed to return the translation fee (minus an admin fee) as my transcript was already in English. I really appreciated the proactive approach, but it would have been even better if the website would be clearer when you need to pay for this fee (e.g. in my case the transcript being already in English) so that I avoid this admin fee - but no biggy, it wasn't the end of the world as it was just £10.
On the 8th January I was informed that the request for the Statement of Comparability has been completed and it was mailed to me.
Today 9th January, I received via Royal Mail.

Overall I was pleased with the speediness of the service, the communication (I received email notifications every time a new message was received in my UK NARIC account) and the proactive attitude about rectifying the unnecessary purchase of the translation.

For UK NARIC - I would recommend adding more clarifications about when to purchase the translation service.

For those that might need to use the service and might be concerned about the bad reviews - there is clearly a difference in experience from person to person, so try to don't fret - at least this is what I would have liked to hear from other reviews when I purchased the services. (Although I guess we are more likely to give reviews when we receive horrible service than when it all goes smoothly..)

"Westing of Money ..BAAAAAD and USELEESSSS"

For the Statement of Comparability they don't check anything, so they don't contact or verify your degree with the University and the rest for the other qualifications.
For a verification they will ask you 220£ which is collecting all the information from you and than send an Email to the University asking them to fill-in a form and this will take more than 2 Months .Ridiculous ..British Standard ....I have no words!

"More correct info"

I have a double degree in Theology and English Language and Literature. I have attached everything they have requested and still they have come back as incomplete application. I have waisted about two month when I could have taken an exam to prove my level of English. Service and info are incorrect.

"Useless Serviice"

1 star because it's the lowest rate the website makes available!!!
Avoid at all cost...just a waste of time as they will keep prolonging their inexistence procedure.
You can donate 12 pounds instead of the administration's fee.

"100% NOT acceptable!"

UPDATED ON NOVEMBER 27TH 2020.

I'm using UK NARIC to get my official diplomas and graduation papers translated and verified, so I can apply to study in the UK. The universities that I have contacted, all recommended UK NARIC as the service to get the best and fastest translation.

However, I can literally not recommend this sit, at all. On any aspects.

First of all, they keep moving deadlines for the translation and verification. For me, it is not a huge deal breaker as I'm several month away from my application deadline, but it is a deal breaker because it is a broken promise from a company that is not cheap to use and if they can’t keep simple deadlines made by themselves, when what to expect?

Secondly, and this is quite crucial, their system, website or what you will call it, does not forward or send any notifications when there is news or a message for me to read and follow up upon, within their system. I simply do not get any sort of notifications that tells me to log in and read on.

This means that I on several occasions, when the above deadline again has expired and I have received nothing, have logged onto their system just to find 1-2 or even 3 unread messages that are way more than 10+ days old!!

And what does UK NARIC say to this, when I inform one of the many different people I communicate with? They all but one says: Don't rely on getting notifications..... WHAT??!!

Even basic homemade websites have the ability to make push notifications or send out emails when there are updates for each registered customer!

Thirdly, I have an official diploma, in Danish, that I got my old university to official translate and stamp, so that I now have 2 x versions of the same diploma. One in Danish, one in English. Both with the schools name and signatures on. They are even dated and on official school paper.

EVERYTHING is in order on those diplomas and I have uploaded them to UK NARIC on the first day, when I placed my order and paid up front.

However, UK NARIC keeps sending me these messages saying (including spelling and punctuation mistakes): "Dear Sir/Madam,In order to proceed, we require a copy of your final diploma / certificate.This is an official certificate awarded upon completion of a qualification. It often has a more decorative appearance, and tends to be issued during or after a graduation ceremony.Kind regards,UK NARIC"

So, because my country does not make decorative diplomas, UK NARIC will NOT accept this diploma and basically keeps sending me the same message as above - by now, almost one month after I placed my order, I have received this message 4 x times!!
- and I literally do not know what to do, because I do NOT have anything else to send to them - and obviously they have no intention to reach out to my old university asking for clarification, despite name and number and everything is provided.

This is really a joke, for which I have already paid for. I would never use nor recommend UK NARIC to anyone. Ever.

UPDATE:
UK NARIC have now offered me a refund, obviusly minus an administration fee - so far they have done nothing, at all, but send me 21 emails on their website, stating that my diploma is not official, not correct etc. despite that it is issued by my old university. Stamped and on school paper. Nothing fony about it - but UK NARIC can't be bothered to call or email my university to get answers to whatever it is they don't understand.

There is no other site that I can use, but UK NARIC as they are the official site paid by the UK Government so despite placing my order in early September 2020, I'm now on the edge of December 2020 and I've gotten nothing.

Besides tons of emails, each time from a new UK NARIC person, who could't be bothered to read through what was in the previous email, so each email is like starting from scratch.

Ohh and UK NARIC keeps telling ME that they got THOUSANDS of happy satisfied customers and that it is just I who are a problem, because I will not give them the documents they are asking for - but funny fact: I already uploaded the diploma they asked for, they just won't accept it, as they got this idea that it should look differently.
