"Gives web designers a bad rep!"

Easy for companies nowadays to use cheats to create websites and pass it off for more expensive work. This company is a prime example of ever I saw one. Communication at the beginning is great but then after the templates get sent over with the Latin standard text it starts to wane. Until weeks go by between coded emails and the project is back to the drawing board. Dangerous for business, unprofessional, poor standard of work lacking creative brains and overall that’s why our board decided One star is befitting. I can’t see any change in years of reviews so pay with caution.

"Pure brilliance"

I have no hesitation in recommending Advanced Website Design. Frankly, I am astounded that such incredible value for money exists and that it can be found in the UK without the need to outsource overseas. I really don't know how they deliver the service for the price. I was very wary about using an unknown company to create my website but the very professional way they deal with enquiries was reassuring as were the many testimonials to good service.

They were very patient and every amendment was made, the turnaround on changes was always acceptable. I was pleased to find that that the package included my choice from a wide range of stock images and basic SEO services. I was very impressed by the way a template is created from the list of websites that I liked. It's a great and very simple way to take a brief. And it works.

I am very happy with the finished product but I have overseen the production of websites in the past. I was happy to supply my own copy. I don't know what happens if that isn't your forte. I also like to communicate via email but if that isn't your comfort zone this might not be the service for you.

The only caveat that I have would be that you have to know what you want. Not only now but possibly in the future. And you have to be clear in your brief about that. You need to discuss before you commission the site what you need it to do in great detail and what you might require of it in the near future. The CMS that is used is not the most sophisticated. It cannot do everything that other systems can. For the most part this isn't a problem but if you need, or might need, anything out of the ordinary you may need Advanced Website Design to produce your website in Wordpress at a higher cost. It would still be excellent value but you do need to be aware of the limitations of the CMS being used.

Now the site is live no-one would guess what a bargain it was and I receive very good feedback about it. It is not just a site that is 'very good for the money'; it is simply a very attractive site. I am very impressed by the service I received and I would have no hesitation is using Advanced Website Design again for future website development or new projects.

"Did Next to Nothing and Kept Deposit. Currently Suing Them."

Steer well clear of this outfit if you are seeking website design.
Ian Morris cold-called me after seeing my request for website designers on the PPH website. He invited me to his offices to discuss what he and his team could do and it all sounded great. After hearing what I wanted, he offered me his "high quality, local and personal service" for £700 including a small website for my wife's venture. I paid a 50% deposit and work began.
Work began, but it didn't progress. Admittedly I was slow in a few of my early instructions but as soon as I was able to commit time to the project again and give the feedback that they requested nothing happened.
Promises were made that work would be done, but it never was. Many emails and messages were sent but were ignored. I eventually spoke to Ian and arranged a meeting, but when I turned up at his offices I found that they had moved out! He had rented a house in Mount Pleasant and all of a sudden their service turned into email only - gone was the promise of being able to knock on the door and meet to discuss, he didn't even want to take phone calls for the project discussion.
My wife's page came to a stop. Jordan asked for feedback on the work done but when she gave it and asked for tweaks and changes that we were informed they would do, suddenly it wasn't in the budget and would be significantly more. I must clarify that all they had done was basically build a first mock-up of the home page.
I eventually met with Jordan, because Ian refused to turn up to our meeting (despite him being in the dining room and visible through the glass door from the lounge! All of my requirements were discussed and accepted. A promise was made to have all the changes made by the following week, but Ian had to do some of them.
No changes were made and all following messages were ignored.
AWD still had my deposit. I wrote a letter stating that they had breached their contract and asked for my money back - ignored. I wrote another letter - ignored.
I did manage to speak to Ian after calling from a withheld telephone number and we had a civil conversation. Ian offered to refund me the full deposit but claimed that he was on the brink of going under because companies owed him money but said that he had cash coming in that he was hiding and if I could wait a week he could pay me then. I agreed.
Ian reneged on his offer to refund in full and only sent £225.
Six months later and I find that not only is Jordan still working with him after he said that he'd left, but that he's still trading and boasting of high profile customers in his various online pages.
I have an email from Ian promising to refund the money and have since asked him to pay. He has ignored my emails so I called him and he is refusing to pay the balance as it covers a "cancellation charge" as allegedly outlined in the contract. He is blissfully unaware that his breach of contract trumps the alleged cancellation charge.
I have issued County Court proceedings.

UPDATE 30/11/15
I received an email from AWD which said:
"We can equally post review about your company, but we have software that does this at 1000s per minute".
Blackmail???

We took on Advanced Website Design to Design, Build and Host our website in our first year of trading last year.
Ian and his team were excellent in keeping us informed of the design's progress, with unlimited adjustments and amendments to our design all the way along.
Since the site went live last year, hosted by Advanced Website Design, we have had excellent, plain speaking technical support. Loads of help with the CMS, and always on hand when we needed some help
We really couldn't thank them enough for all the help they gave us, and with a very reasonable price tag attached. You really do get what you pay for !
