"After spending $7,000 on these hearing …"

After spending $7,000 on these hearing aids I am not satisfied at all. The connection to my iPhone is of poor quality to no quality. I am very unhappy and feel ripped off. I went to the hearing center where I bought these worthless aids but only get to talk to the tech who doesn’t follow up. The actual hearing professionals I can’t get a hold of during the COVID time but actually it is your product. You should be ashamed of taking our money and not backing up your product. You should provide replacements for me but you won’t.

"So many problems"

So many problems, where to start. The mini mic does not work. It stays on for five to ten minutes and then shuts down. Actually green light is still blinking, but sound is not transmitted. My first mini mike was returned for this reason. Replacement is no better. Thrive- oh bother. Often stops recognizing my aids. Sometimes recognizes one ear and some times the other. Today while using data on my I phone 7 my hearing aids turned off. Back on when I stopped using data. I’ve had these for greater than a month but will return them as defective products, not because I don’t like them. I chose these for the mike capability. I count on them to make my world bigger- classes, church, etc. the performance is not acceptable.

"When they are working they are great"

When they are working they are great! However, daily and up to three times a day my husband has to sink them up to the app on his iPhone. He has brought them back to the Hearing Lab multiple times. Sometimes he is without them for 7 to 10 days before getting them back. Very frustrating. He just got them back yesterday after having them out for repair for 10 days. After just two hours of wearing them, he had to sink them up again. When paying $7,000 for them, we would not expect to have this much trouble.

"I've had Circa Rechargeable hearing…"

I've had Circa Rechargeable hearing aids for a few months now. My hearing has definitely been enhanced, at times may need to up the volume, depending upon the environment's acoustics and if the person's normal talking voice is very soft. My friends and students have seen an improvement, which is reassuring. Do like them being rechargeable opposed to relying upon batteries. Although it would be nice to have a pair that can be both rechargeable or use batteries, that way, if in a foreign country for a length of time. My aids did come with adapters, but I'd have to do some more research to see if would need a converter for places such as Japan, Philippines, Korea, etc.

I've been disappointed with Thrive App, it's been quirky since got the aids. At times it would just turn off one of the aids, or if on the phone via bluetooth, it would disconnect. I have an iphone 7, and when updated software it made the Thrive app even less reliant. As my Audiologist recommended I reset everything, which was somewhat helpful, but I don't use Thrive that much since still erratic. In fact I'm cautious of updating another software on iphone since when I went to a blog site they said don't do i0S 13.3, which may make Thrive App even worse. Am I to understand from looking at other reviews that I should upload an updated version of Thrive, which should make it more compatible? At least for the more recent models of iphones but does that also include iphone 7 ?

Also noted if on Bluetooth mode, my aids lose their battery life faster then when not using Bluetooth.

Due to Thrive's not being reliable, I asked my audiologist to program my aids so I can manually adjust the volume opposed to setting for different environments.

On a more positive note, they're far more comfortable then I had hoped they'd be.

Altogether satisfied with them but evidently much more improvement with Thrive App.

"Hearing aids are awesome"

Hearing aids are awesome. I have never heard as well as i do now! Service was great. Multiple visits to get everything just right. Only down was office not closer. Had to drive 45 min - an hour.

"Excellent product and follow up"

Excellent product and excellent diagnostic and follow up with Hearing Aid Consultants in Jefferson City, MO. Hearing aids are only as good as the follow up. I am extremely satisfied with both.

"not ready for prime time NUEAR Circa AI hearing aids"

I am testing a new pair of NUEAR Circa AI hearing aids. Here are my impressions so far...
1/ The Thrive Hearing app isn't yet available for my new iPhone 11ProMax. Given this phone's been available for over a month that's inexcusable. Companies are provided advance notice and, apparently, NuEar chooses to put a product on the market without providing essential service. So..I downloaded the app to my wife's iPhoneXsMax. That took way too long on a fast connection. I then attempted to pair my hearing aids with her iPhone with...Success after a couple pairing attempts.
Do I need to write any review and impression beyond #1 above? No but I will mention one positive.
2/ I don't yet have the remote mic so I used the mic on my wife’s iPhone XsMax. My "other" hearing aids I've been wearing for 4 years are Starkey "made for iPhone" hearing aids. The "live listen" using the iPhone's built-in mic with them was essentially useless due to the over 1/2 second time delay of my own voice going to the iPhone and back to my hearing aids. The new NuEar Circa AI hearing aids work GREAT in this function. No delay and conversation is very clear.
For around $7,000 for a pair one would think (I certainly do) that NuEar could do better!

This update on October 31...I did the Thrive app update and can now use my iPhone11ProMax with the CircaAI hearing aids. That’s the good news. The bad? I’ve had to “forget” and then “pair” them again and again. I called tech support and they were very helpful as they could be given what I believe continue to be hearing aids pushed out to the public before being ready for prime time. I should have known better. My Starkey “made for iPhone” aids had serious shortcomings so why should I expect better results with CircaAI aids. 1st error? Shame on you. 2nd error? Shame on me. If you buy the CircaAI hearing aids make certain to get an extended right to return them for a full refund if problems continue.
