Having repaired our old tiled roof for years, we reached a stage where it became apparent it was needing repaired. The team at Strathclyde roofing kept us fully informed during the whole process, discussing all options to take into accout our needs and budget. The different teams worked together to ensure a smooth efficient process. A special thank you to Peter and his roofing team, who worked tirelessly through the most awful weather conditions, covid restrictions and tackling unexpected problems without complaint, keeping us dry and warm throughout the process. The resultant roof has transformed the appearence of our home and stopped numerous drafts and leaks we've tolerated for years with the gardens and grounds all returned to their pre work condition.

"Professional, reasonably priced, and high quality work"

Our roof was badly leaking despite having been repaired before, so we were looking for advice and quotes for replacing it. The roof is quite large and complex with several dormer windows, valleys, a velux window, a flat roof, and separate sections on a small garage and extension.

Strathclyde Roofing provided a free survey and a competitive quote, and Mark was extremely helpful and patient in answering the several questions and E-Mails that followed.

A short while after signing the contract, the skip, scaffolding and initial materials all arrived and work began. The team were here before 8:00am every day and worked diligently. They kept everything relatively tidy, sweeping the paths and drives at the end of each day.

After stripping back the old lead from the chimney, the team discovered that there was a significant amount of erosion underneath. They evaluated the options, including whether it would be possible to reinforce it, but concluded that the only safe route would be to demolish the existing chimney and replace it. We were consulted at each step in this process and the work was carried out quickly and efficiently.

At the end, there were a few small things that we noticed that needed tidying up. Our project manager at Strathclyde roofing performed a final inspection and took note of the things we mentioned. These were all fixed or explained to our satisfaction, and the guarantee handed to us before paying the final remaining balance.

All in all, despite the size of the project, the complexity of the roof and, the problem with the chimney, Strathclyde roofing were reasonably priced, professional, efficient, and did the work to a high standard.

A very good company.. communicates by emails (deaf customer)... once inspected the damages and quickly arrange to have it repaired and replaces roof slates.. all in less than a week... the boss still emails to ensure if any leaks through and ensure will do repair for free... Very professional company from start to finish. From initial enquiry I had a site visit and a tailored quotation within 24 hours. Scope of works was very clear and there was negotiation on price. From an early stage I had a good feeling and I wasn't disappointed. The installation was well planned and executed, with the only issue being the Scottish weather but the guys dealt with the conditions admirably and delivered a high quality installation.

We are really impressed with this company. We replaced our roof tiles, felt and batons and the whole job was completed in four days. They worked non-stop, and communicated very well with ourselves. The workers were mannerly, tidy and helpful.The scaffolding was erected and the skip delivered exactly to plan. The work was done to an excellent standard and the price was very fair. We had had a very negative experience with roofers prior to this and we were apprehensive about hiring any company, however, Strathclyde Roofing has restored our faith. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Recent total roof replacement by Strathclyde Roofing. From first contact with Scott right through to sign off and scaffolding removal everything went as smooth as possible. We were kept fully informed at every stage of the project. Contacted by Murray the week before start to advise of the programme of work. Scaffolders arrived on time – a great bunch of guys, nothing fazed them, work done very quickly and professionally. Materials and skip arrived as advised. Roofers were a little late arriving first morning – not a drama, contacted by Murray to let us know exactly what was happening. Every day the roofers worked till well after dark and cleaned up after. Scott was on site daily to advised progress of work, including on the final day when he invited me to inspect work first hand from top of scaffolding – quite a view and very informative regarding the work that had been done. Scaffolders removed scaffolding as promptly as they had assembled. All in, very good and professional company who quote competitively and produce the goods as described. Also, insurance backed 20-year guarantee for work.
