"Game Changer for me and my boy"

Azz observed my nearly 3 year Border Collie boy and knew exactly what issues need to be addressed. I have not been able to walk my dog on the streets for over 18 months due to reactivity towards the traffic, but within 2 minutes he was casually walking along the road ignoring everything around him and was totally calm. A real game changer for me and my boy. Thank you Azz!

Azz came out to see our Spaniel who we were getting concerned about. Azz is a very knowledgable and gave us a lot of information to understand dogs and how packs work. He identified the problems we had and gave us ways to help our dog be less anxious and for us to assert that we were the Alphas, the dog is much calmer and happier. Thank you. Since our session with Azz, our relationship and understanding of our dog’s needs has significantly improved.

During our session, Azz focused on addressing the root cause of our dog’s behavioural issues rather than just teaching us how to “control” our dog. By assessing and interpreting our dog's body language, reactions, and triggers Azz was able to understand our dog’s fears and anxieties.

From start to finish and ongoing support, Azz has been absolutely exceptional and has brought back peace and happiness to our home.

We received a highly informative session from Azz yesterday and have literally seen results already. The things he showed us were so simple but wouldn't have crossed our minds had he not broken it down for us to see.
Not only that, but he is now only a phone call away should we have any questions or issues later down the line.

Us learning to speak Dog.
Oh my goodness what a learning curve.
Azz came to see us on 1st February as we needed some help understanding our anxious rescue dog Sky.
Sky is very worried about my husband and after 3 years he still can't touch or get close to her. When he walks into a room she will run out!
Azz started by explaining what Sky sees and hears when we approach her. What an eye opener when you see it from Sky's point of view.
By the end of the session he could sit with his back to her right in front of her, Sky stayed laying down and looked relaxed. Absolutely awesome!
We now we have work to do to move this forward, but we are so hopeful and really believe that we will overcome these issues.
It was a pretty full on day with lots of talking and information to take in. The report that followed is great to refer back to.
Also knowing that Azz is available for us to call anytime should we need to is reassuring.
Amazing day with amazing results.

"Calmer German Shepherd"

We had Azz over on Friday to help with our GSD. She had issues channelling her excitement, especially on walks. This would lead to barking & lunging at other dogs, along with lots of pulling. Although we knew she wasn’t an aggressive dog and the show was merely the frustration of not being able to play; due to her breed the behaviour would understandably come across very intimidating to other people, who would often avoid her and thus making the issue worse.

Azz spent 4 hours with us, firstly going through an extensive chat about our daily routine with our dog to help best understand what makes her tick. We then went out for a walk, with Azz showing and then giving us a hands on approach as well. The understanding he has of dogs and their behaviour blew my mind! Within 1 walk, our GSD was walking calmly by our side and not a single bark at another dog was heard! She was even able to have a sniff with other dogs due to her calmer approach and even some showed up with her great behaviour!

We now have to follow up and put the work in ourselves but I couldn’t recommended Azz and Back to Balance enough!

"Exceptional Experience - Highly recommended"

We have an amazing Spaniel, who unfortunately is a 'Lockdown Puppy' and didn't get chance to socialise with other people or dogs. What we didn't appreciate is that he was also going through other changes and as owners, we were not giving him the best start in life!
Azz did that magical thing of walking through the door and quieting him down pretty immediately but then went on to deconstruct his behaviour.
My wife and I both having dogs when growing up, thought that taking on a male Spaniel from a working breed, with high energy would not be a problem, oh how wrong we were!
It was clear that we needed a far better knowledge of dog psychology and what Azz managed to deliver to us was amazing. No quick fix I am afraid but an understanding that is taking us along a road-map, that I suspect we are on for the next couple of months and then maintenance thereafter, BUT we are already seeing improvements. However, we are also understanding behaviours which is helpful as it is so easy to superimpose human psychology onto a dog, but so often that is not helpful and ends up in a complete misunderstanding.
We were really impressed with Azz, however, you need to trust and listen carefully to what he says as for difficult dogs it is not an easy journey BUT it is a worthwhile one and we are eternally grateful to Azz.
We have not arrived at the destination yet but feel we are firmly on the way that our lovely dog will integrate to the wider world!
