I've had SIP VoIP since the mid-90's when I had a Pipex Internet account, and used Free World Dialup (FWD).
I opened an account with Draytel after FWD changed it's policy in the early-2000's, and have never looked back. Originally using X-Lite, a PC Softphone over dial-up, then Pipex ADSL. Later moving to Virginmedia cable and a Linksys (Cisco) WRP400 with two SIP VoIP lines - one phone and the other fax.
Not experienced any 'down-time' even when doing IT upgrades - they send an email that there 'may' be disruption to service overnight.
Brilliant and not expensive service which I use for everything since I've dropped VM and fixed line BB and phone, using everything over a 4G LTE Router now.

"Customer service don't exist"

Bought geographic number for specific city but was allocated a number for an entirely different city. Opened support ticket. Can't get response from customer service. I wonder if they even exist.

Anything that is not done online on a website is a disaster.
I've been a client for at least 15 years and whilst the connectivity, reliability and sound quality were great the customer service is really appalling. Accounting section is the worst as they seem to mysteriously request an annual fee on monthly basis times 12 at one time or then later send an invoice for a period already paid for by another invoice. Getting in touch is extremely difficult. Other reviewers mentioned a week to get a reply. Yes, that's about the average.

After several emails and a call the problem was resolved. Really happy with the communication and help from Abid. Fast response on email and great patience on the phone. The call took over half an hour but it is now fixed so I am happy.

"Dreadfully slow to respond to ANY request"

Been a customer since about 2014. In that time, they have never responded to any request for help/info etc in less than one week. Usually, it takes another email to prompt them into action.

Right now, I am making a complaint because they haven't responded to a request that was made 8 days ago.

I had finally decided to sign up with DrayTEL for their VoIP telephone service, as the deal suited me (with some providers you can pay considerably more). A friend had recommend the company as well.

You know how when you have ordered something, you want it immediately. Well, I did but when I signed up, somehow I missed the section about signing up for a free geographic number. So I e-mailed customer service and less than two hours everything had been set up for me. With some firms you can wait two days for a response.

In a world where mediocre service has become the norm, good service like this deserves credit. Well done to all involved!

I recently moved from the UK to the USA and rely on the Draytel Internet Phone service for business and personal communication so that my family, friends and customers can call a local UK number. I use a Draytel VoIP device and an ordinary cordless telephone and I had some difficulties setting it up when I moved but Draytel customer support is really brilliant. They are extremely helpful and kept on suggesting different things until everything was working. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
