"Items agreed not binding on the company…"
Following a visit from their representative, we had received a quote for a new door and windows that was acceptable. There were a number of factors, including some arising out of other reviews, that we had received orally and confirmed in writing (by email). However, when we received the detailed order documents with their terms and conditions, these contained a clause that meant that anything that was agreed orally or in writing were not binding unless they were confirmed by a director of the company, meaning that anything agreed by the representative was not to be relied on as binding on the company. Despite attempts to get the required confirmation we were unable to obtain this so we placed the order with an alternative supplier rather than take the risk with a company that was not prepared to commit to agreements made by their representative.

"Just had our new composite door fitted…Happy customer"
Just had our new composite door fitted this morning. Really have no complaints. Very pleased with the door, sales and service.

"poor customer service"
I had a sales man out to give me a quote for a composite door, with '40%' savings on the door. I agreed to purchase the door and was talked into a finance agreement to complete the purchase. However, its been two weeks and I have had no communication from them in respect of collecting my deposit and my emails remain unanswered.

"If I could give less than 1 star I…"
If I could give less than 1 star I would. Had this company out and was given a quote for a pvc front and back door. I agreed to the price and was given a 6 week time scale. I called 4 or 5 times for an updated and eventually after no call back I asked for a manager to call me back. I was then informed the job had been priced wrong by the sales man and I'd have to pay an extra £225. After reading their reviews I see this is a standard thing with this company they have previously done this with an other customer. There customer service is sub standard to say the least and certainly do not keep their customers informed.
After cancelling my order I feel relieved as god knows what their After care would have been like.

"Poor aftercare service."
Cant fault the workmanship done on our soffats and facias guys were excellant. Problem is with the after service, the guys forgot to bring vents with them and told us to contact the company and it would get sorted. 6 weeks later still waiting. My wife contacted them again last week to see whats keeping them she was told someone had called on friday but there was no one home. Not sure how true that is but you would think a company would arrange a suitable time to call. Wouldn't recommend this company.

"Total Home NI did not provide a…"
Total Home NI did not provide a professional install of my windows and doors .
The first major concern , would have to be the amount of large holes left in the plaster work especially around the front door and in the kitchen. These were huge , deep holes , through to the brickwork that would really have required plastering and skimmed .
I mentioned this to the fitters , who said that this was not part of their job , but have since been informed , that in fact it would be a requirement of a professional fitter , and that a professional ,would not have created this damage in the first place .
Another professional fitter told me that he would leave the job as it was found , requiring only a paint touch up at best by the customer .
These men half heartedly shoved some pollyfilla into some of the holes before rushing off home.
It has now taken a full week to fill the holes slowly and sand down and prepare for paint . I did wait on several occasions for Total home NI to send someone out for me , but they did not arrive , so had to sort it myself.
Second main issue : The back door , was supplied with a spacer to allow the door to open fully - this spacer was placed at the incorrect side of the door frame , which meant the door could not open fully (which may have been a health hazard ) requiring my builder who was fitting my floors at the same time to take 2 inches off the brickwork to allow the door to open correctly and allow him to continue fitting the floor.
My builder also pointed out for me that both front and back doors did not open and close smoothly and were catching in various areas , and would need repacking .
I did complain to management at THNI , and someone did come out and agreed that there were quite severe issues, with the installation , but in short , they did not fulfil their promises of help and after , at one stage waiting 2 days on a return phone call ,about the problems , I had to phone them back , and demand that someone come out and least fix the doors so they opened and closed correctly and replace the back living room window glass , which had arrived on the first day and fitted with a large crack down the middle .
Thankfully they sent Dom out , their experienced surveyor /fitter , who repacked both doors for me and left them working perfectly . He also replaced the glass without a hassle , and gave it a clean .
This is the sort of proficient service I should have had for my install !
I have now been told by THNI that the fitters that carried out my work to such a poor standard , have all been dismissed . Apparently because they botched quite a few other jobs apart from mine.
I paid a substantial amount of money to THNI and was promised I would have little or nothing to do , but sit back and admire my new windows and doors. I was promised a professional install , by an experienced installation team , and an after sales care that was second to none . In reality I did not receive what I paid for ! I have not even had a letter of apology or even an offer of some recompense for the trauma , and sleepless nights I have suffered because of this. Not to mention all the extra work !
My ultimate concern now is , that of the quality of the actual installation itself . How proficiently has the actual installation been carried out ...the work that cannot be seen ?
