"Working for 5 years with a Brooknight…"

Working for 5 years with a Brooknight after Tuped over from different company. I’m currently assigned to Primark store, overall I have found the company good to work for and they have treated me with respect and have rectified any issues I have had. My line manager is Aj who is always available to assist with any operational issues at all times. He carries out regular site visits for refresher training, Kpi meetings. Overall I would recommend that Brooknight Is a good company to work for and it has many opportunities to further career if you work hard.

Manager AJ omg who gives him this position?!?! I'm not sure he got the sia license + little man with some over grown ego!!!! Ignorant, bullying and ruda lier!!!

Exploiting vulnerable untrained staff without any experience to maximise profit. The people behind the CCTV would drop there vapours, lagers and pizza if they had to do the job on the ground. A very despicable company putting profit before staff safety.

Atrocious company to work for- check out their reviews on indeed. All contracts are ZERO HOUR NOT PART TIME. All contracts state you have to be available 7 days a week and able to work every weekend or its instant dismissal. Pay is minimal and no double time bank holidays. If they dismiss you FOR ANY REASON within a year, you WILL get charged £170 to £70. Get sick within 4 hours of your shift and you have to call in? Thats £50 deducted (check their contract if you want proof!) Wanna leave? They want 2 weeks notice or again you get charged £10 a day. All in all- theyre complete mugs who wish to steal your wage at any oppertunity. My pay was always wrong too and head office ignore calls.

I only had to do this job to save going homeless. Even the homeless get treated better I suspect. If this review puts off even one reader from joining this shambolic, pathetic company then i will be happy.

I have no idea how this company is legally allowed to run, i really dont.

1. They only offer 0h/r contract
2. Pay is just above minimum wage; good luck living a life.
3. Shifts are 12hrs; good luck having a life.
4. My job title is for 1 task… i was doing 3 separate job roles under one... For the same pay.
5. They throw new staff at you to train, at no extra pay, whilst STILL doing your job. (I trained 8 people... All left within 2 weeks).
6. Also went through managers like water.
7. If you work nights, enjoy the hourly calls you have to make to control, so they cover their backs.
8. If for any reason you’re not able to make your shift... you have to give them 4hrs notice otherwise they charge you £50. (Is that even legal)
9. Wanna book off holiday? You need to give them a 6 week notice.
10. Theres no such thing as Work/Life balance… Brooknight is your new life
11. 95% of what managers say…is a lie. Believe at your expense. Plus they hardly know whats actually going on.
12. Stay in school kids.

You would think that for a company that are desperate for good staff, they’d treat the ones they have already, well.
Brooknight makes no effort to create a good working place for staff or improve themselves in any way.

If you don’t mind no job security (the irony), being heavily underpaid, unreasonable terms of employment, no work/life balance & have NO other skills WHATSOEVER… Brooknight is for you.
Otherwise Run! & run fast… Brooknight will suck the life out of you.
