Cannot express my gratitude enough for the invaluable advice, honest and constructive feedback. The course was informative and well structured. Although online - for me it felt very personal and my tutor Lisa hallet made every effort to spend so much time and effort in her teaching and marking. I’m so happy I chose to go with the interior design academy.

"Great mentor and well-localised course material"

I enrolled in this course because of my friend’s recommendation who is working as an interior design consultant in Melbourne. I found this course completely localised with Aussie style, very well organized, and helpful. After each tutorial you can earn good knowledge about the topic and there are many valuable comments from top Australian designers that I really enjoyed them. Also, you can find many local business sources that you need to leverage them for your future work. About the assignments, they are wonderful and extremely helpful because after each of them I have received valuable and super helpful feedback from my tutor. I have a great passion about art and interior design and Interior Design Academy showed me the path to start my career in this field. These guys are always ready to response to your problem and question. I recommend this course for everyone who are looking for a useful and lovely mentor to start this career. I am very thankful for completing my Interior Design course, I originally thought 6 months would be enough time to complete, but with fulltime work starting, I was able to finish in 12 months. The course notes were very thorough, and I was able to complete my assignments with the guidance in the notes, and online examples. My assessment feedback was very comprehensive.
As this course is offered as remote learning due to current circumstances with Covid, I did miss being in a classroom and being hands-on and collaborative with other students and teacher. I did find the course well paced, extensively informative, and was able to understand most concepts as I have had other colour training previously. It may not be as easy for first time students, doing distance learning in this field. My other friend who dropped off half way, realised the distance learning didn't work for her. But with COVID and lockdowns, this worked great for me.

The Interior Design Academy gave me the confidence and all that I need to start a career in interior design. There was a lot of useful and interesting information, including information on how to go about doing interior design, how to relate to potential clients and how to manage the business side of things. The staff at IDA were supportive and friendly whenever I needed to contact them, and that support is ongoing now that I have graduated. I have used what I learnt in the course to make some improvements to my airbnb listings. I have also been asked to select the exterior colours for an entire resort. Thank you, IDA for giving me more options for my future.

I am loving the Interior Design Academy course. The tutorials are well presented, easy to read and to understand. They also contain suggested places to research further. The flexibility to learn and complete assignments at your own pace makes it easier to fit in around everyday events and activities. The feedback from an experienced interior designer is also terrific. I am amazed at how much effort goes into the feedback which also contains additional sites to discover and tips and tricks that will be useful when I start my first commissions. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in learning about interior design and wanting to enter the industry.

"Pursuing something I have loved for years!"

The past 15 years of my career have been spent in South, Africa, London abd Dubai setting up and running the creative production (photographic and video) studios for some of the world’s largest online fashion businesses. When I moved to New Zealand mid 2020 with my young family and I wanted to pursue something I had always been very interested in, Interior Design. I enrolled with The Interior Design Academy as I loved the fact their course was all online, gave you all the knowledge you would need to run your own business rather than a lot of extras that weren’t necessary. I also loved that it could be done in my own time as a lot of us are trying to juggle jobs, family and life in general so being able to do it in my own time was key! I found the faculty and everyone I dealt with so helpful, responsive and supportive and always very happy to advise on anything. The modules are very well set out, visually stimulating and the learning materials very clear, detailed and thorough. The feedback from each assignment was also very detailed and really helped me to understand where I was doing well and clear areas of improvements. I would highly recommend this course for anyone wanting to pursue Interior Design as a career as this will give you all the tools you’ll need!

"Efficient, Knowledgeable and practical."

Super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! I was very excited during the whole length of the course. It is the most practical course one can lay hands on. Rather than teaching how to be creative, it teaches you how to apply your own creativity and judge you on the feasibility of the design. The course is self-paced hence no need to rush the designs. The professors and managers are super friendly. I loved every bit of the journey they have created.

"So much support!"

I would never have been able to do this course unless it was completely online, it was so easy to follow too. The feedback for assignments is great. I recently had issues and was unable to study for a couple of months, after one email my course was paused and the pressure was taken off. I am so grateful to the entire team, there is so much support to help you be successful.
