"have purchased a few lps without anyā¦"
have purchased a few lps without any issues in the past but test pressing which had been a preorder item never showed up. I contacted customer service and was told it had been shipped.
Never received and lot of money paid for heehaw.
No purchases since.
And the reply to this kind of sums up the attitude you get from their customer service.
And order 16521 which I never received shows we've accepted your order a d we're getting it ready. come back to this page for updates on your shipment status. Amd I have had 7 orders if you want to be exact.
And nobody asked me to do it, being over £30 out of pocket and over time forgot I had ordered it.
I received no follow up when I was told you would be looking into it.

"I ordered two CDs that came with a freeā¦"
I ordered two CDs that came with a free third CD and a random bundle of 5no CDs.
I got an email saying that they were ready for collection.
I turned up this morning to collect the same BUT was informed that there was a deal on at the time of my order so there were actually 8no CDs in my random purchase!
Just listened to the first Bluebells album and really enjoyed it too.
More power to you and the bands Ian.
I will be back soon ;o)

"Very poor service."
This has been the worst experience I have ever had buying music online. I pre ordered three albums nine months ago and was due to receive my albums in mid December. I know there have been difficulties with the Royal Mail so contacted their customer service (Ian Smith) last week for an update as I hadn't heard a word since payment some nine months earlier. He was extremely rude and unprofessional in his reaction to my simple request. I asked three times for tracking details of this £80+ order which he completely ignored. I was also told one of the records I ordered was unavailable and a different colour replacement was put in. This turned out to be an opened and used copy which jumped on playing, probably returned by a previous buyer. This expensive order turned out to be sent via second class post (explains why he ignored my request for tracking details). I will never buy from this place again and would never recommend to anybody.

"Outstanding service"
Long-term member since 2016. Not only have LNFG provided enormous quality and quantity, there have been countless freebies thrown in - books, t-shirts, records.
Ian has created a unique product, built communities, opened a record store, and bent backwards at any requests made by myself or others. A wonderful model of a Scottish independent label and continuing to provide quality music, bands, and products almost 7yrs later.

"Appalling, rude and unprofessional"
Appalling, rude and unprofessional. If you require customer service of the worst kind, then youāre at the right place with Last Night from Glasgow. Ian never accepts responsibility for anything and comes across as extremely arrogant. They sent me the wrong album and when I discovered they had sent me a duplicate album, he basically accused me of attempting to keep the album and get a replacement even though I informed him of the duplicate. Eventually required me to send the album back to them before they will send the replacement although it was their mistake. I canāt be bothered dealing with him anymore, so will just keep the duplicate album as he will not accept responsibility. This would be zero stars if possible.

"A rude and unpleasant experience"
I bought a vinyl from these back in May 2022 and the wrong colour vinyl arrived in the post. I made a small complaint on the live chat hoping that they could correct their mistake and they responded with extreme rudeness. They accused me of being āentitledā for asking for a specific colour (even though it was what I ordered) as apparently an email went out saying that they could no longer supply it. I honestly donāt think that email ever existed though to be honest and they were just trying to cover their tracks. I wouldnāt have minded if they just responded with an apology or explained to me why they could no longer supply it, but I was responded to with pompous disdain instead. Iād much rather support independent record stores but if they feel like they want to speak to their customers like dirt then Iād rather go to HMV. Awful and obnoxious service, AVOID.

Updated from Ian's response (28.08.2024)
Yes, this is actually exactly what happened. I would like a fair and honest response rather than being spoken against. At the time of this order, I sent some screenshots of the live-chat to one of the band members of the vinyl I bought, so I have enough unedited evidence to back up my claim. I would have been more understanding if you were honest and told me that the colour I ordered wasn't available, or out of stock etc. but judging my decision to complain about receiving the incorrect colour vinyl to what I actually ordered is a bit of a low blow. In fact, this has been the worst experience I have ever had ordering anything online. I appreciate the response, but doing this 2 years later just goes to show the level of customer service you'd expect.

"Ian seems a very strange bloke"
Ian seems a very strange bloke. I used a discount code I'd found online to order some records. He messaged me explaining that the code was only for members - which I didn't know. I apologised and requested the order to be cancelled and refunded - which he did to be fair. However, I then received several emails which were very unnecessary and passive aggressive. These included emails that said I was 'cheap' and he then accused me of 'cutting my nose off to spite my face'. I again explained that I'd simply tried to buy some records and use a discount code. He got ever so funny - making sure that I was aware that he was the owner of the shop and founder of the record label (which I had no idea existed). I don't normally leave reviews of this type, but I feel I must as he was very hostile, unprofessional and aggressive. It upset me. Unfortunately, I would warn potential casual browsers away from his site as it seems to be a very clandestine 'look after ourselves - you have to be a member kind of set up'. I was simply trying to buy a few records from a site I'd found online. It's a shame as he's put me right off and I'll stay well clear! He seemed very upset that I'd found a discount code online! Really, an unpleasant experience and a very unpleasant man!
