"RIP OFF!! (Theft in my book)"
The company’s heating engineer arrives at my house. I direct her to the boiler and explain that it’s constantly losing pressure and there’s a leak from the magnetic filter. She asks if I could get the tool to open the filter cap because they ‘don’t carry them in their van’
As far as I know, there is no dedicated tool for this, however I have a tool to remove an oil filter from a car engine. I’m gone all of 3 minuwhen I hear her calling me as she’s leaving my house. She says it fine, she knows what’s wrong and I should ring the insurance company and ask them to authorise the replacement of the magnetic filter. At this point, she’s barely seen anything and definitely hasn’t touched anything.
Long story short. Insurance doesn’t cover filters or the power flush the ‘engineer’ says that we need. That’s right, she must’ve carried on talking as she closed my door and walked away because her office say we need that the insurance company is now definitely telling me to take a running jump and my wife is looking into our barely alive savings account to pay the potential grand it’s going to cost us.
Sorry. Long story, short (definitely this time) They lied. I know a thing or two. Had it out with Amish(?) in the office. Backtracked. No need for flush. £230 for filter. I ask for it in writing, with a breakdown. He doesn’t send it. Ask again.....nope.
Got it repaired myself.
A F💀☠️🏴☠️🤬🤬🤬 ‘O’ RING!!
THATS WHAT I NEEDED.
Clear & present dishonesty. Even the phone jockey in the office. I won’t have anyone tell me different. I’ll even leave the insurance company if they can’t send a different company.

"We called out this company over a gas leak."
We called out this company over a weekend as we had accidentally fractured a gas pipe. They came the following day ( we were given a 8.00 -18.00 timeframe. They made the repair however after they left we smelled gas and tried to ring them but they did not pick up. When we spoke to them the next morning and they would only come if we paid them again there and then. We refused and contacted the National Gas Helpline who identified they had left two leaking joints and repaired them for free. We were very disappointed with their after care.
