Chris was very helpful dealing with the money deducted from my elderly auntie's bank account. Interbacs are purely the intermediary and not the low life scammers that use Interbacs as a method of defrauding the vulnerable. It would be unfair to blame Interbacs. They seem very knowledgeable and i have reassurance that the money 'stolen' from my aunt can be returned, and even how to report it, to hopefully stop this happening to others.

Appalled to see Interbacs have taken nearly £500 off my 91 year old mother who has Alzeimers. So many new direct debits with different company names, all for things the poor woman doesn't need or have. All stopped with the bank but unfortunately the money has been lost. Should be ashamed

"Scammers"

Tried setting up an unauthorised direct debit for a company my elderly grandmother had never even heard of or contacted. Extremely concerning that they have not only her address but also her bank details. Disgusting trying to scam elderly people. Reported to the financial ombudsman

"Do you know your client ?"

This company enabled a newly set up company ,which called my 88 year old mother and sold her a service which she doesn’t need and they couldn’t provide (scam), to set up a direct debit on her account. On its own the company involved would not have been accepted into the Direct Debit Scheme as they have no track record. Interface Ltd has a duty to carry out KYC on their clients. A cursory glance on the Companies House website at the current and former directors and their current and former companies should have raised a few flags. In Interbacs Ltd defence when I called they had suspended the company, however they should never have been enabled in the first place.

"Taking someone for a fraudulent ride"

I am disgusted in this company and its subsidiaries behaviour. Their Domestic Cover Ltd company prey on people, convince them to give their details over the phone pretending that they already know you and that you use them, they then take money by DD which is for something that is not required. domestic cover is already covered by home insurance and the Sale of goods act, the consumer act. it is not required and not wanted. but preying old a person who is elderly is the lowest that a company can go.

"Complete set of ***** set up direct…"

Complete set of ***** set up direct debit on my elderly fathers account with out any consent, only found out because last year i took over his finances and found out he was paying for 2 lots of appliance insurance and 2 lots of drain insurance, he lives in a rented property so doesn't need it! They pray on the old and vulnerable, I went to the bank and reported it and they cancelled them all and gave him a new card, but in the course of 12 months they was setting them up the direct debits again, I keep cancelling them and even phoned them up and told them he doesn't need or want it, I thought it was all sorted but found out today that interbac have set up another direct debit, don't know what for or how much it's for, proper annoyed and angry that these people can set up direct debits without consent, if I hadn't have noticed it my dad would have been paying out yet again for something he didn't need or want! Something needs to be about these scammers.

"Cancelling direct debits for mis-sold insurances"

I contacted Interbacs to cancel a number of direct debits that had been set up for services by insurance providers that had been mis-sold to my vulnerable relative over the phone. Jacob was incredibly helpful, cancelling those payments & checking other payments under the same address. Thank you so much for your help and making this process so straight forward.
