Trying this insurance out for the first time as it is difficult to find good landlord's insurance in California. The quoting process was fast and easy although they wanted you to enter an email/number to see the final quote. Spoke to someone on the phone and they were courteous and professional. Very competitively priced for similar coverage compared to the other insurance companies I have used.

I am an agent and I would love to be appointed by this company. I use other MGAs and their process is old and outdated and it takes forever to get a quote back. I was actually shopping for my Dad and I found this company online and I ran a quote and I could not believe how easy it was. I lost commission but I was able to secure a good policy for my father. Would love to offer this product to my clients as I have many clients with apartment buildings.

The majority of (positive) reviews here review the ease of getting a quote and policy. I cannot argue with them.
I can, however, review what your experience will be if you are ever unfortunate enough to need them to stand by the policy they (smoothly!) quoted you (with ease!).
They (through their proxy) initially declined a claim for a burst pipe despite heating bills establising the building was heated, as I lacked a nest thermometer to establish what the temperature was set to on the day of the loss.
They then deployed an engineer 3 months ago to examine the apartment.
It's been 247 days since the incident, and over 100 since the engineer's visit. There is no final resolution in sight, and the report has yet to be shared.
I can't even pursue action via my attorney because we're awaiting basic responses and sharing of information.
UPDATE: Honeycomb clearly has problems telling the entire truth in their replies. As they note below, the engineers report was dated August, which would imply that my complaint is a lie. What they are NOT saying in their reply is that their engineer inspected the home in early May - not August. Thus, it took their engineer three months to issue a report to them. The end result is no different - you will end up waiting forever to receive any compensation (if you do), and if you choose to contest, you and your attorney will be delayed forever.
