The Nivo app is a game changer. Which means you can send and respond to messages, upload documents and also have a discussion on chat all in your time causing no disruption to your work. Best way to approach is to think about all that you’d like to write each time you’re corresponding with the NHS CU team and send that across in a single message. Sending multiple messages and repeating the same thing in different words can cause delays. So it’s best to trust the system and wait for someone to respond. You can’t miss a message because each time you receive a message, a Nivo notification for it will come up on your screen in addition to being sent a regular text message on your phone.

The initial application on the NHS CU website takes less than 5 minutes if you have your income and expenses ready. No uploads required at this stage. Soon after (they claim it can take upto 5 days during busy periods but is almost always much quicker), someone will get in touch through the Nivo app. Document upload portals will be shared through Nivo making it convenient to upload different documents under the appropriate sections. If you’ve missed uploading a document or if they need more documents or information, they will message you. So basically the disbursement of funds depends on how you engage with the App. Uploading documents took me almost a week as I took my time and responded when I could. Then finally the loan officer got in touch (Nivo again) with a few final questions and once satisfied, it took less than 2 hours for the funds to credit my account.

Hats off to the team for instituting this system and to the staff for using it so efficiently.
