"Efficient"
Intelligent business sold my salon with in 6 months, it was a little slow at first and slight breakdown in communication but we got there eventually. Once the sale started moving the company was very helpful and efficient.

"As a buyer of a business"
As a buyer of a business, it was a little difficult to initiate contact but once established Intelligent Business Transfer remained in contact and guided us through the whole process. Their constant facilitation allowed all parties to complete the transaction successfully.

"Unprofessional on any aspect"
This unprofessional company with very poor services.
Since you agreed to employ them to selling your business, within 7 days they want you to pay them £600 as a register fee, unfortunately, they would not even contacting us to discuss any further regarding the business selling matters at all for the next stage.
when we phone them back to discuss about the selling matters as there were interested buy been contact to the agents, the selling details might need to alter etc , it was a random staffs would answer us requests with standards answer, (ok, any things else) no interested at all.
Cannot see my business could get a buyer with this agents, after settle £600 there is no following up or next stage of service.
My experience shows, maybe better to test the market by yourself, there are few business selling website. I should save £600 for unprofessional service, at least I could know what is the concern from the buyer which might negotiable.

"Waste of time and money."
If it was possible to give negative stars I would. They approached us telling us they had customers looking for businesses like ours. They came and gave us a valuation, which exceeded what we expected so we agreed to allow them to market the business. Having parted with £1k they proceeded to write the sales particulars, which were terrible, we then rewrote them so what was said was a true reflection of our business. The first 6 months communication was sporadic but nothing solid was ever said, just that they were endeavoring to sell the business etc. At this point we asked if dropping the price would help and agreed to knock 10% off the asking price. This had no effect and communication ground to a halt, we ended up calling them as emails were simply ignored, when we called we mentioned the emails to be told our assigned manager was on holiday / ill etc. Having been with them for over 12 months and ignored for more than 6 of them we finally called customer services, who went away to investigate, when they came back they said that they had initially over valued the business and suggested putting it on the market at 43% of the original valuation. I accept that over valuation can occur and that markets can change but 67% off the original valuation is ridiculous. It was at this point we cancelled the sale of our business with Intelligent.
If you are thinking of selling with Intelligent, I would suggest giving a £1k to charity, save yourself a lot of stress and be happy in the knowledge that your money is doing something worthwhile.

"Having run our family business for over…"
Having run our family business for over 20 years we were keen to start the process for retirement.
Our accountant referred us to intelligent on the back of apparent success in our sector (retail).
We met with their consultant and were very impressed with the bespoke approach. Our sale turned out to be straightforward and we had a number of genuine buyers and offers.
Our account manager was excellent with strong communication throughout and John was also excellent seeing us over the line.
Fair on every level and very professional. Would definitely be happy to recommend.

"Not to be trusted"
They valued my business, with 'confidence,' at £90,000. They achieved £20,000, but agreed therefore to charge only 5% as a fee, ie. £1000 + VAT. They took a 25% deposit, ie. £5000 from the buyer ... and kept the lot! No VAT invoice, nothing, and avoidance of future communications. NOT to be trusted.

"We have sold our business recently …"
We have sold our business recently through intelligent and now emigrated. We were very impressed with the professional manner our sale was handled, and the team who supported our sale were excellent. I would have no problem reccomending them for selling a business. Thanks for your assistance

"I made a decision to sell my business …"
I made a decision to sell my business in 2016 and met with intelligent (and other agents) to find out how it all worked.
They were the only ones to spend time with me and my wife taking about planning on the sale, as were weren’t quite ready to sell just then.
We put it for sale in spring 2017 with them and they have been excellent all the way through.
They produced some great sale brochures for our business and advertised it extensively. We found a number of potential buyers and competed the sale in 6 months.
Over the moon with the service and we’d definitely be happy to recommend. Thanks
