"Hip Replacement In Poland"
I cannot thank Eurotreatmed enough for organising my surgery and the Sanvimed Clinic for conducting the surgery and getting me on the road to full recovery.
I was looking for a private clinic to conduct not only Hip Replacement Surgery but also physio therapy and nursing care to get me on the right track to making a full recovery. I feel I could not of made a better choice. Eurotreatmed, especially Maja, answered all my questions fully and very promptly, this gave me confidence to select the Sanvimed Clinic for my surgery. I booked a package at a very good price, that included just about everything. From arranging pick up and drop off back at the airport, initial x-rays, ECGs, blood tests, consultation upon arrival, surgery, 14 days nursing care, one to one individually tailored physio for 12 days, crutches, pain and blood thinning meds and three meals a day. Literally end to end service and care upon arriving in Poland until my drop off back at the airport.
The surgery was conducted using world class replacements by a very professional surgical theatre team headed up by a very through and proficient Consultant Surgeon supported by a very professional Anaesthetist.
Post surgery the nursing care I received was also second to none. The ward and my private room were constantly being cleaned by a domestic. They are right on top of pain management which made the first few days after the operation more than bearable. The nurse to patient ratio is in the patients favour, enabling them to provide what felt like you had your own nurse. Three meals a day also provided, a full English breakfast if you wanted, plus Restaurant prepared lunch and Dinner, ordered from an extremely large menu selection, the Pizzas were my favourite. Anything I asked for in the way of nursing or something to make my stay more pleasant was provided in an instant.
Physio was given by very professional and knowledgeable team. It started on the morning after my surgery and continued for the next 12 days. I was given exercises to do myself and the physio sessions were different every day, no going through the same thing time and time again here. You were gently pushed to increase your mobility and movement as much as your own limits would allow. They even used my phone to video my set of exercises, I have to follow when I get home with full explanations.
In summary, I cannot recommend The Sanvimed Clinic enough for Hip Replacement surgery. I arrived in constant & at times crippling pain and left on one crutch with minimal discomfort ( only the odd Paracetamol), with a comprehensive Physio provided exercise plan for the next 10 weeks. If you are thinking of having a Hip Replacement abroad instead of in the UK, be in no doubt over the expertise, care and professionalism of the team at Sanvimed and Eurotreatmed, I do not think you could be in better hands.

"Outstanding Care for My Second Hip…"
Outstanding Care for My Second Hip Surgery
This was my second time at Sanvimed in Poland, and once again, the service and care I received were absolutely second to none. From the surgeons to the nursing staff and physiotherapists, everyone was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive. Any for Myra organising taxis like to and from the airport just a general care such an organised company. I’m so happy that I found them.
The level of care and attention I received was exceptional, making me feel safe and well-supported throughout my treatment. The physiotherapy team is excellent—highly skilled and dedicated to ensuring the best possible recovery.
I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of treatment. The expertise, compassion, and efficiency here are truly outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to return if needed in the future. Thank you to the entire team for looking after me so well!

"Just extraordinary"
Yesterday my husband returned from this brilliant clinic after 2 weeks with them. He had been advised by his GP he needed a replacement knee, after much research he booked his operation with Maja; who has been an absolute gem from start to finish.
He duly flew out and was met at the airport, delivered to the clinic and underwent preliminary tests on the 2nd December. He was prepped and given a spinal block on the 3rd, to then be told the operation would not be going ahead as although there is some wear to his knee/s his actual problem was very much eminating from his hip. (He had told his GP this on a number of occasions but assured the cause was the knee) The horror of this was unimaginable. Maja and her team stepped up instantly, being in constant contact with myself and David throughout. Over the following few days the surgery was rearranged for the Friday where a hip replacement would be carried out.
The facilities, staff and care are fabulous across the board. There is literally not one thing that can be faulted in any tiny way. Cleaners, Care Co-ordinators e.g Maja; Nursing staff e.g Karolina and Mariuz; surgeons and physios alike have been nothing short of amazing. The NHS can only dream of providing such an all encompassing service at the highest of levels of professionalism, care, organisation and provision.
In a heartbeat my husband would go back for any other required orthopedic surgery.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
He arrived home yesterday and is managing stairs with just 1 crutch after only 10 days.

"Fantastic service, hip replacement"
On the 24th of June, myself and my husband flew to Katowice. On the 25th of June, I received a total hip replacement due to arthritis. After being on the NHS waiting list for so long, I couldn’t stand the excruciating pain any longer. I did my homework on private hospitals but was not happy to pay UK private prices. We came across Eurotreatmed Sanvimed Hospital in Katowice, Poland in the newspaper and did our research. The reviews were glowing and we instantly sent an enquiry to the hospital back in May 2024. We received a prompt reply from Maja, who has been nothing short of fantastic. Communication was excellent from the off and she explained everything thoroughly. We had everything booked within a week for the following month.
When we arrived, the hospital had arranged transfers from the hospital which was efficient. As I came with my husband, we had a double en-suite room booked in the hospital, which was all inclusive with brilliant food (3 meals a day, snacks and beverages) from a restaurant nearby. From the moment we arrived, Maja and the whole team were highly professional. The surgery and aftercare was second to none. There was a 24hr nurse and 2 weeks of intensive physio following the surgery.
6 weeks later I am now walking slowly without crutches. The care and hospitality we received was outstanding - thank you.

"Meticulous and caring"
I was naturally apprehensive about surgery, let alone going to Poland for the operation. But I have no doubt that I made the right decision. The care throughout was meticulous and caring from the driver who picked us up at the airport (I travelled with my wife) to all members of the medical team. I honestly can't think of high enough praise for them. I have no doubt that the daily physio - rather than being sent home after 3 days as in the UK (NHS or private) - gave me the best possible start to recovery. Six weeks on from the operation I can walk comfortably (but carefully) without a crutch.

"EuroTreatMed. Hip replacement procedure. "
So! This procedure was done 3 years ago and I only realised today that I did not post this glowing “Report Card” on Trustpilot.
Having been assessed in August 2021 as requiring to have my right hip replaced, I was then informed that the NHS would be only be able to offer surgery in around 12-18 months time. Clearly the Covid Pandemic was the cause of this length in waiting times.
Unfortunately the constant agony I was in, plus the waiting period, would have meant taking all of this time off work, unpaid for the most part, or more realistically having to give up my career as a professional driver (I drive buses in Edinburgh) altogether.
After exploring the private options in the UK (Spire £14,450.00) I decided to look abroad (Mr Google) and I discovered EuroTreatMed. I received a reply to my enquiry literally within the hour and I was advised surgery would be possible within six weeks of enquiring and the cost was half the price.
I was offered my procedure at a hospital called Sanvimed in Zabrze, Katowice, Poland. This place is a Godsend! I truly cannot speak highly enough of the staff and their total professionalism. My contact, Maya, made sure every ‘t’ was crossed and every ‘i’ dotted before I left the UK.
You are collected at Katowice airport and taken directly to the hospital, and returned there two weeks later. The room was very well kitted out with refreshments on tap, and a full restaurant menu to choose from for your meals. No hospital food here. A nurse is only ever a buzz away, and I never had to wait for anything. Maya also touched base with me every single day to make sure everything was to my satisfaction and going to plan, which it was and without any hitches.
The surgery was a breeze and having two weeks to recover, aided by the daily physio, was such a massive help in my recovery.
When I had my left hip replaced by the NHS in 2006, I was literally “in and out” of Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. To put this in context I had my surgery on the Tuesday and within four days of the surgery l was shown a few exercises to practice and I was left to get on with my own recovery at home all by myself.
The experience of the NHS and going “private” is quite frankly worlds apart and the confidence I felt with my recovery and mobility leaving this facility in Poland was far superior to my NHS experience.
I simply do not understand why private healthcare in the UK is so expensive. My partner and my costs included two (Ryanair) flights, the travel to and from the hospital, the operation and aftercare and it was literally HALF the price quoted by Spire Murrayfield, Edinburgh.
If you have been assessed in the UK as requiring a hip replacement (or any other othopaedic procedure) and the suffering is insufferable and IF you have the financial wherewithal, then I honestly cannot recommend EuroTreatMed highly enough!
