"Not what we expected! "

Upon arrival we had to fill out forms for each child, then went into the see a worker to book in. I was shocked that they wanted £30 for photos per child. I would have thought having 3 children there may have been a slight reduction especially given how much we had spent on the day, with the insurance, car upgrades, it became a very expensive day.
We were told to check in with a co ordinator and pointed outside to the flags. There were so many people stood there that we had assumed it was a queue. We waited until I saw another lady check in so I then had to dash to each flag to check the children in. My children have SEN and this became very stressful for them. It was not clear at all and then we had to stand around for half hour past our time slot. My son became disengaged and distressed.

I am so glad my other son had changed his mind as he would have not coped in that environment and had I known then we would not have gone.

However the positive is that the 3 children did enjoy the cars they drove and were very happy. They said it was good fun but wouldn't do it again.

"The event was very well organised"

The event was very well organised, on entering the venue at Sywell Aerodrome, we were immediately given helpful information about the event and where to book in. All of the staff were very approachable and happy to assist if necessary. I was booked to be a passenger in two of the fastest cars available at the event, a Porsche GT3 and an Aston Martin Vantage. I was looking forward to the experience but was slightly apprehensive, not only because of the speed I would be travelling at but, being disabled I wasn’t sure how difficult it would be to get in and out of the car. As it turned out I didn’t need to worry as everyone, including my driver for both vehicles John Everett, was very helpful and understanding as it took me longer to get in and out than most people. As for the actual driving experience, John made it something I will remember for a very long time. John immediately put me at ease and he drove both vehicles to their limits, which made for two incredibly thrilling rides and his skill in handling both vehicles meant I felt perfectly safe at all times.

Areas were not clearly marked so despite being directed at registration it wasn’t obvious where to go for specific drives. These guys are the king of the upsell, be prepared. If you got this as a gift you may end up paying more than the gift itself. Insurance +extra lap +car upgrades +demo laps +photographs +photos +in car video. Adds up. Sywell is not a great place to drive a car. Getting a good speed is hard, even the hot lap wasn’t great and I suspect this is the track layout.

"Cracking day out!"

My son had a very enjoyable afternoon at the Elvington Airfield venue- having a driving lesson in the reasonably priced car, then taking a Lamborghini Gallardo out for a few laps. To top off the day we were also able to bolt on a very quick lap in an Ariel Atom which really brought a smile to his face. The team at site ran like a well oiled machine and fabulous weather topped off the day.

My son really enjoyed his experience. The instructor was friendly and patient and they took note of my son’s particular needs.
The only disappointing thing was that the under 17s learners track was completely out of sight for us as spectators. (Sywell)

"Did not bother with hot lap…not enough drivers!"

Had a 4 car experience with a Hot lap and photo. Best car (and instructor) by far was the Porsche 911, however the other cars were just old and battered. Engine light on, service required etc, just not what you expect. Did not bother with hot lap as on the day there was not enough drivers so waiting in excess of an hour for what would be 3 minutes - what’s the point and no apology from anyone either. Many others frustrated as well.
