RentSlam was recommended to me by two different people: a friend from Amsterdam and another one from Den Haag. It only took four days for my friend in Amsterdam to find the apartment through RentSlam. My friend from Den Haag recommended it because all her friends use it. Unfortunately, my income bracket is quite low; however, I managed to get some really good offers through RentSlam. The reason real estate agents sometimes do not reply is that the housing market in the Netherlands right now is totally crazy. We were looking for an apartment in February 2023 and manually looked through funda and pararius every day, responding to multiple apartments. Then we heard about Rentslam and decided to try it (we had nothing to lose).
The big advantage is that the service itself sends emails, so you don't have to spend a lot of time constantly monitoring different sites with apartments. Moreover, we received letters with links even to the websites of agencies that we did not know about!
As a result, we were able to find an apartment! Do you know what is interesting? The ad for our apartment was deleted 1 hour after it was posted. If it wasn't for Rentslam, we probably would have just missed it.
