"No guidance "on-site""

No guidance "on-site". The 5 actors were not clear what was expected and we had to make up a lot of our responsibilities ourselves. No "point person" to ask for instructions from Characters-For-Hire and minimal guidance in advance.

The make-up lady was fantastic!

"*updated review! Pay issues!* Chaotic but fun, would do it again"

***As an update, there have been issues getting paid for me and others I went with. We were told if we completed a review here and on Google, we would get paid next day. I, with pestering, got my check a week later. Others did not. However, I had also been promised additional pay for a variety of reasons by 2 different people, and have been given the runaround ever since to find out the amount and get the funds. Told different stories about how to get it approved, promised I would get it multiple times, needs more paperwork/there is no more paperwork, etc. Hopefully they eventually make good on their word...the event was pretty fun due to the people who did it with me, but all the rest of this has been a hot mess and lots of BS****


Overall it was a fun experience and would work with them again. However, there was definitely a lot of confusion and disorganization and communication issues. I am hoping this was due to it being a fairly last minute booking, giving the benefit of the doubt. The people I worked with were great, as were those I had direct contact with at the company.

First time working for Characters for Hire, and had a great time! Kevin and Angela were easy to communicate with and available to answer questions that arose. I’m so grateful to be working with a company that holds high professional standards, uses thorough business contracts and can offer me many roles as I do a variety of character performances! Yesterday, I worked with Characters for Hire on a Halloween event in Pennsylvania. They made sure that everyone was covid-tested and safe. The company and talent created a memorable experience for the client and the visitors.

"Haunted Halloween Trail"

This was a howling, GREAT-time, Haunted Trail Halloween extravaganza put on by Characters for Hire! They had a very well organized project team that not only provided AWESOME makeup artists to transform us (the actors) into a ghoulishly, creepy cast of characters but also took care of every detail with props and sets of the Haunted Trail to elicit plenty of screams from the party guests - young & old - and a good time was had by all with lots of compliments from the guests on their "scary" experience.

This was my 1st experience working with Characters for Hire. I am excited for an opportunity to work with them again. These folks put on a very high-quality entertainment event that any actor would be proud to have on their resume. Great venue to exercise your improv skills - at least on this gig, we had full rein to carry our characters to their fullest potential of our imagination.
