"Recently fitted windows"

We recently had new windows fitted. We are really happy with the result. The gentlemen who fitted the windows were really polite, professional and friendly. We plan on using them again in the future when we get round to changing our doors.

"Pushy sales visit"

I cannot comment on the quality of the work as I cancelled my order the day after placing it. However, the salesperson was incredibly pushy and manipulative, gave me a highly inflated first quote, tried to push a very expensive financing option, said some things which were borderline offensive and gave me incorrect information (see below for exact details). I have been told (by other tradespeople) that the final quote was in the acceptable range for the work I wanted, and I don't know what the quality of the work would have been like. I chose to cancel my order because of how uncomfortable I was after the sales pitch.


Details from the sales visit:
1) Implied that I was naïve and un-independent for wanting to talk to my father before accepting an offer (my father used to work in the building trade and I wanted him to ask his contacts whether the quote was good)
2) Told me he would give me 'the best possible quote' at over £4000 before I haggled it down to £2800. I don't trust a company that won't give you the true cost of the work up front.
3) Tried to convince me to take a finance option that would lead to me paying back almost £10,000 over 10 years on windows which cost £2800. He specifically said this would be the cheapest way of paying.
4) Told me that the only way to secure the price was to put down a deposit immediately during the sales visit and that I couldn't have any time to think about it or do independent research. When I phoned the company to cancel my order (I did put down the deposit to give myself some thinking time), I was told that while the offers were first come first served, I shouldn't have needed to pay during the sales call and I could've taken a few days to think about it.
5) Said I had 7 days to cancel the order. According to Consumer Rights Act 2015, I have a 14 day cooling off period in which to cancel.

This company is completely useless..had a 10am booking Saturday booked through help to buy windows...no one turned up they can't even be bothered to phone you to tell you they can't be bothered to turn up....avoid this company at all cost zero customer service as I only have option to give 1 star ...they would get minus 5stars as very incompetent company avoid avoid avoid
