"Semplicemente encomiabili."

Semplicemente encomiabili.
Solo quando ti ritrovi in qualche parte del mondo a fare immersioni e accusi dei seri problemi, poter contare sul supporto logistico e medico del DAN, ti aiuta a superarli con la loro collaborazione e la loro professionalità.
A volte uno è tentato a non fare l'assicurazione sub (a volte l'ho pensato anche io), ma poi quando ti capita qualcosa di imprevisto, allora capisci che sono stati soldi ben spesi (un investimento sulla propria salute)

Dopo un brutto incidente in immersione (una risalita di emergenza da 50 m) l'equipe medica del DAN mi ha aiutato molto interagendo con il centro iperbarico per la correzione della terapia. Ringrazio in particolare la Ds. Ferri.

"I had a diving incident in Thailand…"

I had a diving incident in Thailand (Koh Chang) and DAN has been at my side from beginning to end. They called me every two hours during the two days I spent in hospital, disregarding the different times. I received the best treatment I could have, including the hyperbaric chamber and I did not need to take out a cent.
I knew they were good, but definitely they surpassed my expectative.

When I had potential DCI-related symptoms after a dive trip, one of the senior DAN Medical Directors was there on the phone to talk the issue through. He was tremendously knowledgeable and reassuring and helped me work out the next steps - I would never set foot in the water without DAN at my back

"Painful and time consuming process to issue a claim"

if you are diver I highly recommend that you sign up for an Insurance with Dan Europe, however you need to know that the process to issue a claim is painful and time consuming. Here is a short summary of the problems experienced:
- The email that you will receive from the dept handling claims will include a link to a form that needs to be completed. Once you download the file, you may find out that DAN is requesting a lot of details, which you may not have precisely at the time you access the form. Thus you may need to save a copy of the file to your hard drive, then search for additional information requested to complete the form later on.
- However once you reopen the saved file, all information that you entered is gone, thus you will have to do the same process again.
- It is also impossible to do a cut and paste to update the form, thus you cannot cut and paste information requested such phone numbers, address of the resort, details of the hospital of Clinic, your bank details ... and so on.
- Given the fact you cannot save any info in the pdf file; I did request to receive a copy of the same document in an other format, such as a word doc file, but I received no reply.
For me to make a claim to be reimbursed 75 USD has proven to be a time consuming exercise.
To summarize, I am under the impression that DAN is deliberately making this process difficult and painful to reduce the number of claims that needs to be taking care of. After wasting so much time, I felt like giving up several times.
